Should you prioritize Shorekeeper or the highly anticipated Camellya? Both characters are amazing in many ways but let's discuss why skipping Shorekeeper in particular may be regrettable.

With those at least neither was a powercreep replacement,
opposite to the new situation where we get Verina and havoc rover, but better. And dps vs healer, ie. less f2p friendly vs more. Also better for casuals vs for tower players (multiple team builders)

It’s a very simple choice. Support characters are infinitely more time proof than any other. Especially in a game that barely has a roster of supports in the first place. Her sig weapon might be a must pull aswell, since it boost team dmg aswell, it’s the premium support weapon.

This argument doesn't hold in WuWa, at least for now. Most of the buffing is through rejuvenating glow set + bell, which literally everyone can do. Verina and Shorekeeper obviously are way comfier and provide buffs on top, but in WuWa, they sacrifice time for it, which actually means staying a bit on your DPS/sub DPS for a bit longer instead doesn't make you lose that much damage.
So yes, lmited supports ARE good, they are NOT a necessity at all, so pull the character you want the most, and it most likely won't grief you.
@@Zephyrion22 I understand where you are coming from. Technically you can play the game with just one character if you don’t care about fully clearing tower. You can even focus on just 3 dps to fully clear if you’re good. But my point was, you cannot compare a DPS banner vs a Support banner and wonder which one is more valuable for your account. The answer to that is simple
@@waifuhunter9709 regardless of what the buff is, it’s more than any weapon can do right now, it’s basically a global stat stick for your whole team, something we didn’t have yet, making every single character you own stronger.
As soon as I saw butterflies and the word "healer" was droped i Already decided on Shorekeeper. Camellia can go suck apples until her rerun because I've already got a drop-dead-gorgeous DPS in Changli and don't need to stress on getting another potential DPS anytime soon (she clearly looks like a DPS) im a f2p rover with her priorities straight

If you know about the Vanguard class of PGR (a product of Kuro Game), you will know that the class is very strong but only gets single challenges because they will be severely weakened when paired with normal character classes. This will most likely happen to Scar and his sister's organization, they will be the characters participating in single challenges due to the story element.

I'm definitely pulling for Shorekeeper and her weapon. I don't have Verina, and I've been managing with Baizhi on one of my teams. Gonna give Camellya a skip, because I'm more interested in other characters. But for all you Camellya wanters, good luck with your pulls!

Another option is to assess Youhu's kit once she drops and see if she will be good enough to cover Shorekeeper's role. Probably won't be a vacation for Verina, but 4-star characters are pretty good in this game, so it might work out.

I think Youhu's more of a sub-dps than a healer
you _could_ make her a healer by putting healing gauntlets on her but i dunno if that covers Shorekeeper's role
Youhu doesn't do what Shorekeeper does. It would be like comparing her to Jianxin. If all you're looking for is damage mitigation then we have enough characters in the game to cover all those roles already for the Tower of Adversity.
Youhu is Hybrid Support. Kinda like Jianxin. Youhu provide 100% Coordinate Attack on outro, has heal with reso skill, and Atk% scaling. She's not super flexible but can works on team that use Yinlin, Zhezhi and Mortefi.
imo 4* characters are not worth investing in in this game
I built mortefi, get the 5* pistol and echo set for him end up never use the guy since i have both Yinlin and Zhezhi. don't really care much about the last 2 floors in ToA so 2 teams are quite easy to buid and keep up with meta
3:18 are people actually thinking verina's getting dropped because of shorekeeper? people may be forgetting each character has limited usage in toa.
You missed the point… he’s not saying she isn’t going to be used, he’s saying she won’t be used on every single team, now that she has another healer who can take her role and some stress off her shoulders.
@@Acheron796🤓well akshually the reason I said "people" and not just him specifically because there'll often be comments under shorekeeper-related videos saying verina is finally getting replaced. strange enough they're not saying baizhi but verina.
Personally, 2.0 is coming with a character that looks more interesting than either (having a dual weapon setup) and then Changli's rerun likely comes shortly after so it's more skipping.

just 30/30 tower for the first time this reset. sitting on about 190 pulls so far. camellya is not a priority for me at all tbh, gonna get shorekeeper and then wait for the crazier characters in the future patches because it will get very very crazy . maybe 10-20 pulls on cam banner but thats about it, depending on the future drip marketing.

-Her art design, I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT, LITERALLY EVERYTHING, (this is enough for me to pull for a character)
-She will probably be god-tier support+healer (this type of character is useful in most teams)

Forget about the meta and tower of adversity pull for the charchter you like the most alot of people pulled jhinsi cuz she is meta and regretted it cuz she really wasnt fun to play so pull for who you will have the most fun with
Listen I used 160 pulls just to get Changli and her weapon (lost 50/50). Since then, I’ve grinded back up to 180 pulls just for shorekeeper. I will do it again for camellya.

my sugggest is if you have Yinlin you should pull Shorekeeper since she buffs coordinated attacks, plus its gonna make your Yinlin and XY (or cucumber) team complete
Easiest choice of my life, another “good” healer is very much something i need. Not to mention, i already have 3 limited main damage dealers. One for each side of ToA. Im sure most of us has multiple limited damage dealers, so they would need to make Camellya absolutely busted for her to be worth it. Unless you just love her, shes your favourite character or whatever. If thats the case i get why you would get her over a limited healer, but not really.
Option 4: Skip both and get Scar or Geshu Lin🗿
Well if camellya happend to be a main dps type character its good to go for her for my account since i dont have a main dps characters who purely deals high damage like jiyan or jinshi because since the start of the game i have purely went with supports and sub dps chars like right now i have yinling verina changli the only main dps i have is calcharo but he sucks so i dont use him.. so its good for my account if i pull for the main dps character but but but i will go for shore keeper anyway because atm i like her more than camellya.. and a good support always lasts longer than a main dps i learnt that by playing genshin for over 3 years and besides we still dont have the gameplay leaks of camelliya if i dont like her playstyle this isn't even a question because if i dont like someone's playstyle i just dont pull for that character that's the whole reason i skipped jinshi and even in genshin i never pull for character who's playstyle didnt suit with me like hu tao eula neuviltte instead i went for the characters i liked like raiden nivia alhaitham chloride

I'm pulling for shorekeeper and hope I have enough pulls left for Camellya. I have 3 pretty insane dps already on the account, Camellya would be refreshing sure but not mendatory i feel. Let's wait.
I'm waiting on Jiyan to come back and I don't know when they plan to do that. Heard that he would be back soon, but I also want Shorekeeper to replace Verina. I have a feeling if Shorekeeper pops up, then watch Jiyan be right after her and then I'm down on currency to spend on him after using it for Shorekeeper.
ehh i was originally planning to pull shorekeeper but when i talk to theory crafters almost all of them say shes not a must pull and isn’t too high above verina and in some scenarios verina is still better as well. considering i can clear toa with 30/30 stars with just using baizhi and verina (while lots of other ppl can even clear with only verina or no healers at all) i feel like i can skip out on shorekeeper and continue pulling/waiting for characters im actually interested in. im still gonna wait for more accurate testing when shorekeepers banner drops to make my final decision but yeah…
No problem for me. Since the start of the game, I've been lucky enough to get all of the limited 5 star characters, Jiyan, Yinlin (in my 2nd account), Jinshi, Changli, Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao (of course). And I STILL have over 30k astrites left. I'm getting both easily 😁

Even as a f2p you don't have to choose, there is more than enough time between the two to save up. For me i don't care about the weapons all that much so i always have extra for char pulls quickest way to kill love for a game is stressing out over this stuff.
I won't have to choose. I've been saving astrite since day 1 and by the time shorekeeper is out I'll be sitting on over 300 pulls. So I will get both guaranteed. But if I had to choose only one, it would be shorekeeper. We have so many characters who deal damage but only so many healers.
it comes down to the trailers, I will decide after I see both trailers(I do think camellyas trailer is gonna come out shortly before shorekeeper banner ends right?)

I've bene waiting for Camellya since day 1. I do want Shorekeeper too but i decided I will get her on rerun and secured Camellya. I think Baizhi is underrated, she is really great and I've been maxing out ToA with Baizhi and Verina so I can afford to skip Shorekeeper. I just don't get why Baizhi doesn't get the love she deserves. Not hearing Baizhi mention in the video once just makes me sad because she has been a valuable character in helping max out ToA. She is attractive to look at and can fill the same role as Verina.

tbf there's more than enough support characters in the game, for energy and dmg buffs. You just need to learn to perfect run bosses or TOA which is quite fun in of itself.

I'm a low spender, so I only use the Monthly pass and the battle pass.
I haven't pulled since the Changli banner and i have around 143 pulls saved up. Kuro is very generous, a ton of those pulls are just from events and event shops they keep pushing towards us. I can't imagine a gacha game other than WuWa that just hands out over 80 pulls worth of resources for free in a single patch.

I'm pretty Lucky with the banners myself, got Jiyan, then right after Yinlin, stopped playing for a bit then got Jinshi weapon for Jiyan bcs i had none and came back playing yesterday and got 2 Xiangli Yao and his signature weapon, now I'm just gonna do the quests and chill i guess

Shorekeeper will be a valuable addition to any team, and she is also a beauty beyond compare. I have no doubt that I will get her.
As for Camellya, it will depend on my luck whether I will get anything before the pity.

I lack the dps caracters in my account but look i have some point of view to why i will pull for shorekeeper rather than pulling to camillia the reason why is kuro will not release a new support caracters so soon after releasing the shorekeeper the second reason is that the shorekeeper is for the future proof.. her buffs and healing abilities are insane.. i will pull for her and yinlin the rerun and wait for scar and gueshlin to cames out

This is some seriously good character design
one of the golden rules from gacha games is that the support characters last longer than the DPS. so for a F2P is good to get the support units,
camellya i think she will be a subDPS like changli and yinlin. good damage with havoc element boost in her outro. and i dont know who wil lbe the future husband for her, for now danjin and rover havoc.
Just be careful you don't ONLY get support characters. That's what I did in HSR and my damage was terrible... but at least I can still use my support characters!

But skipping maybe a second DPS from the same element, For example if You have calcharo full builf xiangli Yao is not that important, Jiyan aero You don't anymore. But camellya Havoc we are in trouble more if she give bonus Havoc to Rover. But shorekeeper is needed also. I Will let the luck decide i Will pull For her until the pity 80. If i win the 50/50 shorekeeper yeah and try to pull with all For camellya. If a lose i save For camellya. Safe pity 80.

ive been saving absolutely everything for Camellya since i pulled jinshii...
i got lucky and pulled another 5 star after Jinshii in the same pull so basically already failed the 50 50 for the next banner
im f2p so having the failed 50 50 and like 210 pulls 20 character wishess and 20 weapon wishes saved already

The most crucial thing about Shorekeepung is how fast she can fill her concerto
so much this people are acting like she is busted while the only thing she has over verina buffing wise is 10 cr and 20 cdmg while loosing the 20 pecent attack verina gives, if she doesnt fill concerto as fast or faster than verina verina is still beter

I totally agree even Atk in this game is more valuable than people think. On most characters I seen, a 20% atk boosts as much as a 20% element buff. I guess her value would mostly be aesthetics but nothing "ground breaking"
@r0n1n- yea but considering substat priorities, 20 crit value is similar to 40% atk increase, so if she gets a prerelease buff, ie getting the 20% atk increase that verina also gives, then she's even more worth than she is now

majority of the player base can already finish the endgame (ToA) with ease with just using 1 DPS and no support. So i think having no Shorekeeper and just using Verina is fine. Players have done everything in game with just having the current support rosters.
