Remember passing through here in Autumn 2004 on a college trip. At the time I had bit of a phobia of lifts but assuming we had no option but to go in it I went ahead and got in it just as the doors were closing and got separates from the others in the process. After getting out of the lift it turned out most of the others had opted to run up the stairs!

It's not the only clockwise staircase on the tube, I know that Kentish Town, Lambeth North and Belsize park also have clockwise staircases, but I don't think those are the only ones
Yes indeed; a prince amongst tube stations. Designed by Charle Holden who built all of the cathedral-like stations on the eastern and western extensions of the Piccadilly, in an amazingly short period of time. Holden also built the massive Senate House of the university of London, behind the British museum.
I love London and I love watching your videos too. They definitely make me appreciate the place even more. It would be really interesting Julian, if you could do a feature about Highgate cemetery (another fascinating and historic part of London).

Every station with many steps is purported to have 15 storeys, even if the number of steps isn't the same, to the point that it's turned into a running gag
