Thanks for your comment. We don't do your typical '1 bird 1 flight' kind of hawking, the whole team works hard every time. Birds are getting fitter, our season has begun, 2 rabbits taken now. Will post that this coming week. Happy hunting.
+James Bowman (bangbangbowman) Experience mainly. They know that we are after rabbits and the ferrets are team mates. Most of our birds ignore the ferrets but a couple can't be trusted and have to be worked from the glove, once a rabbit bolts the hawks forget the ferrets. We have had a couple of accidents where a hawk has grabbed a ferret but they have quickly let go and no injuries to either. It does help if hawks and ferrets live in close proximity.
This is great .
good work between bird and ferrets and 100% entertainment from you guys keep them coming and happy hunting

Great video, thanks for posting.. Unlucky with first rabbit tho.. Be good to see in slow motion..
Thank you. Our season is done this weekend but still lots of footage to put up.
What prevents them from attacking the ferrett? the hawk has to be primed to hunt at this point
