I like the idea that you can take the fuel tank right from the trunk. Less rust on the top of the tank, save weigh, easier inspection, less prone to rust between the floor and top of fuel tank, great idea Ford. I love the look of the Falcon. Will be watching!!👍
About fifty years ago , I bought a 1964 2 door Falcon for $300. They were a mechanic's dream. Easy to tune up and repair. Never had to wait for parts , most auto stores had them on the shelf. Three on the tree , they called my stick shift. Mine had thee same motor as yours and they came with the choice of 3 straight sixes ,the 144 , the 170 and the 200 C.I.D. .
I was surprised to see that part of the truck rusted out like that. The floor is common, but the seal structure I wouldn't have thought about. Like you, I'm not a body guy so, whats the plan?
The leak was bad, over six inches across the cores. I was concerned after fixing those leaks more would pop up. New radiator was only $100. Cheap insurance.
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"

Well my 2nd video on the Falcon, can’t wait for more. I’m learning as you go.

I just got the materials to work on the trunk seam, I hope to have a video out in the next two weeks.
@stevesobetski108 Looking forward to it.
Fuel tank sending unit $38 on amazon. Amazing! Lol
Why haven't you just fix the old rad?? They are easy to solder and will last for ever, and perfect fit and cheaper.
