I made a video on how to clean a fuel line on my TD. Ran into the exact same issues, however I used Berryman chem 12 carb cleaner (US). Maybe you have an equivalent in Australia. I also let it soak for a bit. After a while it worked. Good luck 🍀
It was washed out with kerosene and then left to sit with rust removing solution. See the video of the Triumph Roadster’s tank for the process, although that one was much worse and needed rocks to grind off the rust.
Hang it all! I've been using your lack of progress to justify avoiding my own '53 TD project...languishing in neglect in the rear of my garage. Now what am I supposed to use as an excuse?
