I love the black books because using the last one you can totally change your build (other than race) without losing all the progress you have made
I went from an archer to one handed with a shield and then a spellcaster
but you don't get the full experience of working your way up again, I cheated and crafted all the best gear I could for the build I was moving into then went and reset skills.

Hey, that's what I sob to myself every time I attempt to play Alien Isolation.
I never finished Just Cause 3 because I found out I could chain 5 cars together on the side of a building and then ping them off into other cars and make those cars blow up, and also leave enemies hanging upside down from street lamps like spider man would or predator if they died...

Final Fantasy XII. I became so obsessed in getting all the side quests, that I didn't wanted to finish the main story until everything else was completed. So when I encountered Yiazmat, I knew that I wouldn't be able to defeat it with my current weapons, so I began the quest for the special weapons. Unluckily for me, my time with the game went over when I decided to sell my ps2 in order to buy me the ps3. One day I will play it again...
Couldn't finish Crisis Core because I didn't want to see zack die, sephiroth turn mad and Nibelheim burn down.
Too much pain.

Mine's bloodborne, I got past a little further than rob, beat the beast that poisons you, then beat vicar amelia, and at that point I have like three different ways to go, and I don't know wich to choose.... so I'm stuck with my incapacity to choose my next path.
After Vicar Amelia, I'd recommend going for the Shadows of Yarnham then the Witches of Hemwick
+Kamina1492 go to hemwick as the witches are guarding a useful item...and they are very very easy
I gave up on that stupid spider and giant grub boss. Stupid spiders killed my fun.
anymetalwilldo that one is a pain. most times when i beat that its because i do a lot of damage to it or i have ahelpre to direct its anoying meteors at. the little spiders are easy to beat its just getting hit by those meteors that are very hard to avoid..if it did not have them the fight would be cake.

About Human Revolution: you could just get back a chapter or so, refuse to get the upgrade and keep our augments fr the battle. It sure beats stop playing.
The Galerians on PS1, awesome game. Auto saved on a boss with almost no ammo. I still tear up at the memory.
I have far too many JRPGs where I am still somewhere in the middle or near the end of the game and I just........stopped (sometimes a certain Boss Fight is at fault but usually I just.....stop).
+Chourtaird1 Yeah, I got stuck on Dr. Snapped at the end of DQMJ (though that's Nintendo and not Playstation) and just kinda quit playing the game altogether rather than grind like I did through the rest of the game.

Killing the Collosi was definitely disheartening, but the hardest part of Shadow of the Colossus for me was when I thought my horse sacrificed it's life to save me from the bridge collapsing... I seriously cried as if I lost a pet in real life.
Never finished AC4 and feel bad about it because it seems like a great game. I could never get past that God damn stealth mission where you have to locate the master assassin James kidd...
before you get the blowpipe? After that stealth is easy.

Got so many games like this. Having no money as a kid meant I only got a game every so often which gave me the time to savour it. Now I usually spend more time buying games than actually playing them.

After years of hearing how great a story Bioshock had, I finally downloaded and played it. Got to fighting the first Big Daddy before copping out. Seeing that giant thing rushing toward me was too scary, man.

Dont feel bad, a tested speedrun of the game without doing any side quests and only main missions, took a solid 26 hours
Of al the video game channels and Tubers, I have to say that this is probably one of my favorites. The jokes in these are fantastic and the videos are almost always entertaining.

Also: You do know getting the chip upgrade is what makes Namir more difficult in Revolution right? You could've just NOT done it.

The final fantasy games are so hard to finish. Not because they're difficult, but every time I'm about to get to the end, I go around trying to level up to the max or as close to it as I can, and never get around to going for the final battle

I know how you feel. If I start a game, I almost always finish it (unless I just absolutely cannot stand it), even if the game is boring. Heck, I take taking finishing games so seriously I tend to buy the sequels and the DLC just so I can finish the franchise (again unless the sequel or DLC is of piss-poor quality).

We list publishers in our lower thirds, not developers. Namco publish Witcher 3 in the UK.

+Hussein Al-wasiti Yeah I noticed that myself I was like "Do what now? Since when was WITCHER 3 a NAMCO/BANDAI game?" I know it's a CD PROJECT/ WARNER GAMES here in the U.S. However I read above and after what PA said that makes complete sense. I am familiar with the fact that some countries release games under different publishers. I cannot throw a immediate example other than the obvious being mentioned but it's normal.
I still haven't finished Kingdom Hearts. I got to the Lion King part.

+Roodey Rood Most people would define finishing games as just completing the main storyline, which is about 50 hours in Skyrim if you just go through it. If you have a completionist attitude then every game has too much content to finish, unless you have no job, no responsibilities, and loads of money.
If you just do the main quest it's actually pretty short, but then where's the fun in that?

For me, it's a lot of JRPGs. I absolutely love JRPGs and turn based rpgs in general, but for some reason I can't hold my attention long enough to finish them. There's very few that grab me and make me want to see it through to the end. I beat the 3 games of ffxiii, and I beat fire emblem awakening. I also am almost done with Fire Emblem Fates Birthright. There are other games that are too good for me to want to beat yet. MGSV. The game is absolutely perfect to me, I want to do everything.
I never finished TES: Oblivion and it still haunts me.

The ending is simmilar to uncharted 2,but i freaking hated the demons,tho i finished it.
I completed Witcher 3, then Heart of Stone and started Blood and Wine. When I got to the vampire fight, I kept getting killed and I just gave up. I wished I hadn't save just before the battle, so I could go back and level up some more before I faced him. Here's to starting over :)

Weeeell played DMC on PS3 finished it and went for the platinum...The saved data got deleted and had to finish the 14 chapters like 7 times again...I was so obsessed to that game...The platinum trophie looks soooo good xd!!
The summer of my 8th grade year I was playing both Final Fantasy 8 and The Legend of Dragoon at the same time. I had both games to their final bosses and was going to beat them both on one epic, 4-disc RPG crushing day. Then I let a friend use my memory card to copy over my THPS save because I had unlocked everything and the memory card corrupted, rendering all the countless hours I put into those games and others completely null and void. I've not been back to finish either game ever since.

I can't even remember, I just put the game down for some reason, the gap got longer and longer and I like to focus on one game at a time. It's a gamer's dilemma, It wouldn't be right to start from where I left off after all this time, and I can't bring myself to start from the beginning again. I will one day though!

Any game I started in between 2014 to 2015, I never finished. And any games I got after that, I just did a test run for about 10 mins to get prepared to play it later...but I never started.
Skyrim and metal gear solid V. Loved playing them so much but got too sucked into exploring to ever complete the stories :(

+The Purging Penguin Exactly! I've played it like 7 times (not kidding) to the half of the third chapter and after that ALWAYS something has happened. The saves were corrupted, computer died, finals came like three month earlier (not according to callendar) :D

Resident Evil 0 was the first one I actively gave up on. Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth was one I ran out of time for and didn't pick back up. The biggest regret, though, was Xenogears.

The Witcher 3. Didn’t get stuck or anything, but I just couldn’t seem to get into it. It’s weird since I love open world games, I think the graphic is lovely, the medieval setting is something I love, and the story made me so curious that I just sat in my couch watching my boyfriend play, not wanting to play anything myself in case I missed something.
But when I started playing myself I just didn’t feel like it. It’s like meeting a person with the same interests and hobbies as you, but still not having good chemistry. I don’t know why though
