The thing I love about the V6’s is they all have that distinct and unique sound on the downshifts. The aggressive Mercedes, Honda with the burble, Ferrari with the whine, and then you have the Renault which is probably the most distinctive in flybys.
Instead of this we get a telescopic zoom from a mile away making them look like they're going 30mph. I wish F1 would show some of the stationary cams. They have them set up all over the tracks, and it's such a waste that they don't use them.

I was there in 2003 for the Grand Prix with a much different sound. My god these do not sound like F1 cars, you'd know about it when they went past in V10s and V8s. So glad I lived the 80s, 90s and early 2000s F1.

Yeah, it's called DRS and slick tyres... Put the 2004 spec cars on slicks and with DRS, plus qualifying fuel and I think you'd be surprised with the outcome...

The Alpine's Renault engine sound so different. It has that higher pitch sound on fly-by's, wow.
Ive always enjoyed the Renault PU Sound at full throttle, Honda ist best at lifting+downshifting
