My buddy at primary school gave us a presentation about f1 cars ( 2004/2005 or so) lots of exposure on TV etc. I didn't watch F1, untill a day in 2018 at the gym when the gym owner put on a f1 race. I heared the new v6 hybrids and thought: " these cars look beautiful, so modern. But what happened with their engine sounds? Aren't they revving hard enough? " I was truly shaken I went and Googled why the engines don't sound like they did back when i was a kid. I never recovered ever since. So much regrets that i didn't take advantage to truly listen to the V10 when it was the status quo.

My regret is not being old enough to experience the V10s live. My 1st F1 attendance was in 2009 with the V8s. It was for me underwhelming because I knew V10 sound was the standard.

Yeah, now with the ESG scam (Environmental Social Governance) that currently has Europe in an energy crisis, the idiots and activists that run Liberty Media (owner of F1) are fully onboard with the Net Zero agenda. Yes, I agree it's important to reduce emissions but climate alarmist extremism is a monetary scam that gives government more power. The 2026 regulations, the engines will be quieter, laggier, less ICE power and more from the hybrid unit. F1 has been a shadow of what it used to be, but the near future will likely kill my interest completely. RIP Formula 1

When they reved up the engines at red lights from the start ALL hairs on my body looked to the sky ... this sound is unassailable

Glorious! 🎵 Proper F1 noises! You can almost taste the tension and anticipation before the start - that's the difference between modern 'efficiency' and old-school EXCITING. And if a sport's not exciting, why bother? 😁
I'm from melbourne and i remember being able to hear the faint sound of the cars if the wind was blowing in the right direction. Our house was roughly 15kms from albert park.
It is so sad that world changed so much, that we won't be able to hear full pack of those cars racing again. One or two cars at some special event is not the same as full race.

My first F1-race LIVE ON TRACK ever was in Imola 1995. There I could see and hear V12, V10 and V8 engines. GREAT !!!!

I'm from melbourne and i remember being able to hear the faint sound of the cars if the wind was blowing in the right direction. Our house was roughly 15kms from albert park.

It is so sad that world changed so much, that we won't be able to hear full pack of those cars racing again. One or two cars at some special event is not the same as full race.

@@traveljunkie7448 Yessss, and I admit that... I'm a REAL fan of Racing... I'm 15, and you can't imagine my reaction watching a F1 race in Spain last year (I'm Spanish). Even being V6 engines, it was AMAZING. Hope one day I could hear a V8, or V10 engine....

Travel Junkie aerodinamicamente non erano come le odierne f1 ma erano più leggere di queste di oltre 100-150 kg e ben 900 e rotti cavalli che suonavano all’impazzata😝
