I also love how he has captions explaining that the items are. I unsubscribed from a couple other food channels because they could never bother to explain what they were showing. Their philosophy seemed to be, "If you don't know what this dish is, then oh well, too bad." This channel educates people as well as showing the food, and that makes it one of the best.🍲🍡🍦
I was thrilled to find this after binging on Malaysia street Food videos. I've noticed that our lovely lady has a "tell" when she doesn't care for something. She still smiles, but her eyes don't widen and she doesn't nod. The smile is still there though. She makes these videos. I love her enthusiasm to try everything.

Having been to Japan, I can verify that those red bean pancakes are very good. However, if you don't like the consistency of red bean paste (it's a bit of an acquired taste, to be fair) I'd recommend other snacks. The custard one seems like a logical, decent choice for those who don't like red bean paste.

Also, if you're anywhere near Los Angeles, CA, (specifically near Little Toyko) there is actually a small bakery that makes red bean pancakes fresh, in very much a similar method it's made in the video, if not the same. I believe they also make takoyaki and a few other classic Japanese snacks.

@@Iymarra think the texture of the inside of a baked bean but absolutely none of the taste of one, the taste is a very sweet, and slightly starchy. Some have little chunks of bean and some are a completely smooth like the one shown in the video. But remember, tastes nothing like what you would think of when you think of beans.

Quite true. Went there last February from Osaka. As if the train ride to Inari wasn’t expensive enough (costed me ~1100 JPY one-way from Shin-Imamiya Sta. - Inari Sta.), I got the hurricane potato there for like 200-300 yen (cheap if you ask me) but the prices at the other food stalls seemed really pricey to me.
It's a festival market. All the vendors have to pay for a slot and they are marking the prices up by a big margin because location. Think of it like a carnival or fairground where you pay $5 for a candyfloss or a hotdog! Same thing. Look at the boxes of ingredients in the background. They are pumping out $5 portions all day and that is their business. They will go from one festival to another doing the same thing. Many of these slots are managed by Yaks in one way or another. Think of the over cost going to fund crime and you will not be far from the truth.
I really love your adventure, and love watching how they made it, and the many exciting food booth you two have visited and tried the food out. Her smile says it all.
@@Its_SaberHG Tonkotsu ramen is amazing. Miso ramen is good too. Funnily enough, my favorite part of any ramen dish is the soft-boiled egg, which ordinarily I usually dislike when prepared by itself. The only reason why I like it in ramen is because it soaks up the broth and takes on its flavor.

@@Its_SaberHG Tonkotsu ramen is amazing. Miso ramen is good too. Funnily enough, my favorite part of any ramen dish is the soft-boiled egg, which ordinarily I usually dislike when prepared by itself. The only reason why I like it in ramen is because it soaks up the broth and takes on its flavor.
