That sounds like a great itinerary! There's something for everyone, and it shows many aspects of Tokyo. Very nice! Even though I can speak Japanese a bit, I'd be hesitant to go to a neighborhood Izakaya or Snack Bar without a local, so I think it would be great to have a guide like you, Meg!

Thank you! Taking my kid to Tokyo for Spring Break in March. This will be our 2nd trip, haven't been to many of the places you have suggested ( we spent 12 days in Tokyo and surrounding areas in 2018).
We will be in Tokyo for 7 nights plus 4 nights in Nikko National park. Looking forward to it!

I did! I think it's better to require a reservation because it will be cheaper than you get it on-site.

If you are into shopping, Ginza is one of your options to stay. It's a bit pricey compared to other areas but still worth visiting.

I'm not sure it depends on your situation! If I were you, I'd just probably get mobile wifi.
Thank you for the overall info. Would be helpful if you had a printable map pining all your highlights described for each day. Please word check the English translation subtitles for a presentable description as well. Almost every thing had misspelled names and sintax errors. Hard to follow.
Which Day is best for those travelling with a toddler?
I don't know when but I suggest avoiding Golden Week, the summer holidays season etc. in Japan because it's too crowded.
Can you recommend an allergy-free restaurant in Japan? My grandson has an allergy to wheat, eggs, nuts, soy, and sesame seeds.

There are some stores you can get. Akihabara is the most famous area. I also use 'book off' when I get some anime stuff.
