  • In this video - Dr. Abhimanyu Kapoor - G.I Surgeon from Kanpur talks about Robotic Surgery. Robotic surgery, also known as robot-assisted surgery, is a form of minimally invasive surgery that utilizes robotic systems to assist surgeons in performing surgical procedures. These systems are controlled by highly skilled surgeons who operate from a console, guiding the robotic arms equipped with surgical instruments. The robotic system provides the surgeon with enhanced visualization, precision, and control during the surgical procedure.
    Advantages of robotic surgery include:
Enhanced Precision: Robotic systems offer greater precision and dexterity compared to traditional surgical techniques. The robotic arms can make smaller, more controlled movements, which can be particularly beneficial in delicate procedures.
Improved Visualization: Robotic surgery often provides surgeons with a 3D high-definition view of the surgical site, enhancing their ability to see and differentiate tissues more clearly. This can lead to better surgical outcomes and reduced risk of complications.
Minimally Invasive: Robotic surgery typically involves smaller incisions compared to traditional open surgery. Smaller incisions can result in less pain, reduced blood loss, and faster recovery times for patients.
Reduced Trauma to Surrounding Tissues: The precision of robotic surgery means that surrounding healthy tissues are less likely to be damaged during the procedure, reducing the risk of complications and improving post-operative recovery.
Shorter Hospital Stays: Patients undergoing robotic surgery often experience shorter hospital stays compared to those undergoing traditional open surgery. This can lead to faster recovery times and reduced healthcare costs.
Less Scarring: The smaller incisions used in robotic surgery result in less visible scarring compared to traditional open surgery, which can be cosmetically appealing to patients.
Access to Complex Areas: Robotic systems can provide access to hard-to-reach areas of the body that may be challenging for surgeons using traditional techniques. This can enable surgeons to perform complex procedures with greater ease and safety.
Training and Education: Robotic surgery systems often include simulation and training modules, allowing surgeons to practice procedures in a virtual environment before performing them on patients. This can enhance surgical skills and improve patient safety.
Overall, robotic surgery offers several advantages over traditional surgical techniques, including increased precision, improved visualization, minimally invasive approaches, and faster recovery times, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes. However, it's essential to note that robotic surgery may not be suitable for all patients or procedures, and its benefits should be carefully weighed against potential risks in each case.

Hello sir my mother gone through ultrasound and it detected Gall Bladder shows a large polypoid mass lesion of intermediate echogenicity measuring approx 34 mm x 22 mm noted in Gall Bladder lumen. (?GB Polyp/mass)
Is it risky can cause cancer?? tomorrow is ct scan
