Dear Sir , What about Acute Pancreatitis with indication of antibiotic in a Patient with existing Taenia Cruris or any form of tinea infections ? Should we follow any oral or iv antifungal medications along with iv antibiotics to them ? Kindly clarify .
Fentanyl is generally preferred over meperidine for the treatment of pain in pancreatitis bcs it is more potent and has better safety profile, particularly in terms of its side effect profile and lower risk of causing seizures, which can be a concern with meperidine @@AETCMEmergencyMedicine
