Congratulations with all my heart. Eternally grateful for your service.
Congratulations to the best & brightest our nation has raised! Keep us safe, make us proud!
Training military engineers was a top reason for founding West Point. If you look at the backgrounds of Civil War generals, a lot of them had engineering projects in their resume. I'm guessing combat engineering has slipped behind such disciplines as space and cybersecurity. Combat engineering would appeal to me, but that's my personality type. The best to all of these grads, they have a right to be extremely proud.
All of you guys that got Hood; Stay away from Veterans BLVD and Rancier.
Don't marry a local.
To the two cadets going to Polk,
Eat some Crawfish and grab a daiquiri. Ain't much else to do there. First post don't dictate your career. Keep going. It gets better after Polk.
Really nothing you can do
don't let the toxicity of the place get to you, almost everyone there is miserable having tried every possible way to get out of there.
Unless you go to Leonard Wood second.
Polk was my favorite post. Go rent a boat from the mwr and go to Toledo bend. Go down to the Cameron jetty and catch some monster reds. Deer and hog hunting on post is awesome. Polk felt like home to me.
As a retired Army person, and recognizing that this is "Post Night", I find it interesting that so many of the cadets going to TOE units referred only to the Post and Brigade # of their selection. You don't join a post, you join a unit, all of them storied and deserving proud mention. The 36th Engineer Brigade, once known as the 36th Engineer Combat Regiment, was mentioned regularly, and that was good to hear. In any case, deep respect for their accomplishments and God Bless them, every one --
Italy is always number one getting pick in any branches...
For those who picked the scholarships, are those pre-determined based on their grades? I thought scholarships would be awarded, not picked? Thanks (Fort Polk is as unpopular now as it was when I was in from 88-92 :-) )
West point is an Engineering school. I think there is even a course leading to Nuclear Engineering of which a Filipino graduate finished it as his course.
My father was with the Army Engineers. He said his officer in Korea at the Chosin Reservoir was a great soldier.
My Uncle Rowland Kreglow was a Frozen Choisin
Did he go to West Point?
Please tell me what should i have to study here i really need your help ❤🙏

What are the stickers they pull before the steps ?
The Unit they are going to
It is there school date for the basic officer leaders course the must take and pass before joining their first unit as a second lieutenant.
Can cadet choose my work location?
Are the people getting married couples?
What is "PADSO"?
@@RichardM333 Are there any bonuses to agreeing to 8 years?
@@MrFlyboy1313just getting the post you pick…..you are committing to 3 more years on AD.
So if a cadet let's say picks the 82nd and another cadet picks 82nd PADSO....what's the difference aside from an extra three year commitment? Is there a incentive for choosing PADSO?
PADSO is guaranteed post assignment. Everyone else made a choice, but they may not get to go to their first choice. They can end up with a 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th choice if there are no slots.
Why is fort Carson so popular?
Colorado Springs.Gorgeous base and excellent facilities. Great place to live and work if you love outdoor sports and activities.
Naaa, it is the 4ID. LOL
It is an awesome area. Compared to Hood,Riley,Polk?
It’s a whole lot better than Drum, Polk, Hood or Bliss. It’s not the 4th ID…
That ain't no lie. Carson's damn nice
👍🇺🇲🤝🙏
Why do the army facilities looks like old hand me downs compared to navy and air force?
That is because they are.
I'm not American can i study computer engineering in here even tho I'm Moroccan pls answer me i need your help 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Tell how is serious and who isn't.

A majority will only do one term. Thats sad since the taxpayer paid the bill. Had a supervisor in civilian life that was an Engineering Officer and graduate of West Point. It was pure culture shock for him when he retired and got a job on the civilian side, he had a very hard time adapting. He struck me as somewhat arrogant when he made the comment in front of me that he was not being paid enough in his civilian job. He was getting his pension from the Army being retired and getting paid a pretty good salary sitting behind a desk whining with his Street Superintendents job.
That is the contract. How many "terms" should they do to make you happy? I did 3 deployments. 2 OIF and 1 OIR.. That good enough for you? Or am I a burden on the taxpayer? You sound like the arrogant miserable one.
hooyah hooyah, smoking the shit, and getting into chowhall with Mr. J.. SDI looking at me 😅 I ❤ weed 😊Sir 😂😂😂

They should abolish West Point and all the other service academies. If want to be an officer go to a regular college and do rotc or go to officer Candidate school.
