day 3 of asking what if sasuke never borned or died at somepoint
when sasuke went to orochimaru ( in the original story ) orochimaru could have killed sasuke and transplanted the sharingan to his body.
If he did that he wouldn't be able to deactivate the sharingan, he'd only be able transplant one eye and had to cover it just like kakashi and danzo.
