I am Norwegian. Born and raised in Norway to Norwegian parents and grandparents. But I cry every time I see this performance. It is so true what you said, that no matter who we are, we can relate. We are all humans, and I can feel the struggle that migrants have coming to a new country. Lovely reacting from both of you.
Ladies, thank you for watching this and for having that very heartfelt discussion afterwards. Karpe is well-equipped at addressing a specific topic in a universal way. I am not a migrant child, but my family is of two different cultures/ethnicities. So i could relate in my own way to the words expressed and this song still brings me to tears whenever it comes on when i am alone. Karpe is a treasure because they do this almost effortlessly. Grateful that you did this together! An appropriate next suggestion would be Ibuprofen / Ibn Adam from the same tour. Then Salma laks! 😀 Pls continue to enjoy Karpe, whether with us all, or in your own personal time and space.💕
Karpe just explained the experiences of children of various immigrant groups in Norway in 8 minutes in this song. You two got it brilliantly 👏. And yes Norwegian can be very poetic yet strangely blunt
Loved the analysis ladies ! I echo your thoughts as a child brought up in multiple cultures outside of India. Think you'd also enjoy Salmalaks, Ibuprofen & Ibn Adam 🤩🌷
A reaction which had to happen ... and I am glad it did. Emotions are flowing from top of my head to foot toe ... Thank both of you. Live long and Prosper!
how did i miss this? i.e. you 2 reacting on Baraf/Fairuz. Please react to 'Ibuprofen & Ibn Adam' of the same concert. Karpe is an experience, a perspective and they are the only ones doing it.
Been following you both since CS13sh and have been waiting for this since Piya Piya Calling... thanks for these videos. As an immigrant who moved to Finland and left all behind and in few years when my daughter is old enough to ask me why you don't understand the language, why you don't go out with your friends, why you go out for walk in snow... this song will hit even harder. Thanks for CS for introducing us to Karpe. Ibuprofen and Salmalax (Salmasalmon) are also really good ones from the same concerts. Pls watch those if you have time. Thanks again Jyoti and Shruti ❤
Truly powerful. You know this, but for other viewers, baraf means ice/snow. So "brown feet in the baraf" is very poetic since they are in Norway, the land of snow and ice.
Hey @jyoti hope you r doing well Sorry for this late comment 😐 So the song name is baraf/fairuz So you know what does baraf means. In Urdu and Persian, Fairuz means Turquoise the color. Not sure about Arabic. The 1st line of the song is "Fairuz, on top of the world" In English we said "blue as sky" Or in Urdu "neela asmaan" But in reality it's not blue=neela It's Turquoise=Fairuz or Fairuzi (in Urdu)
Karpe is amazing and does soooo much for immigrants in Norway. They have put all their profits into a donation to immigrants. They are so important! You should check out Aurora from Norway❤ She has really powerful and meaningful lyrics that dosnt have anything to do with boyfriend drama but the important things in the world.
Please react to nazneen and meri jaaan don't miss out on these 2 songs they have kashmiri artists and represent kashmiri culture i watched your other reaction other day and u said that you wanted more of these so their it is just do it now!!
