Great review. I was very disappointed. The last 10 mins with the car ride were pure torture and infuriating especially after how boring the rest of the movie was. We had no emotional investment in the final girl
Oh my god I felt like the car ride was NEVER going to end.

I don't think you'll get any controversy for this because this movie is already controversial. 90% is just a fucking rotten tomatoes score and there are a bunch of movies with that rating that are kind of universally hated. Look at IMDb, there's literally 1/10 reviews for this film.

They should cut the walking scenes by half and replace those with kills. Tweak the ending too, then it would be a great movie even without character development.

I think you’re missing the point of the movie. We spend time with the killer & just seeing him walking throughout the woods most of the time &…YA that’s the whole point! We’re seeing this through the killer’s POV, so it gonna be very long & drawn out. A slow moving slasher killer just like Jason. As for the victims, we weren’t supposed to like any of them. Again we’re seeing this through the killer’s POV, so it’s okay to have a slasher movie where we’re just rooting for the killer & waiting for them to die.
I completely got the point of the movie. It's clear from the start that it's from the killers POV. That's why I mentioned there should've been something for the killer which there wasn't. There's no mythology minus one line. I LOVE the concept of this movie, but the majority of the time it's watching a guy walking through the woods. After some time that's going to test patience. For me, it did unfortunately.
You can understand a movie and still not like it…
