When I was younger my brothers and I used to walk across the entire bridge when it was still standing it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever had the chance to do
It’s not that serious . We all did it back then. There was also plenty of space on the sides even if the train did come . Back in the day people used to ride dirt bikes across it.
@@Joblessparadisegreat video, just out of curiosity which was the process you had went with? Will be heading out there soon and not sure how far in advance I should speak with he park. Thanks
Wow, The Original was Built before the Eiffel Tower (1889). However Most Notably the Eiffel Tower has a Much Broader Base and is Higher. Why this Fell though, I Guess :- Not Enough Quality Maintenance. But also Original Design, the Base of the Pyramid Supports Should have been Wider. Plus as Others Noted, Stronger Foundations a Bit More Cross Bracing. Also a Broader Top Rail Platform would have been Better. Leave the Steel in the Park, Not Sure about that. Gutsy Builders back in the 1800's.
@@Joblessparadisehow very sad that the deficiency was being addressed and a tornado knocked it down, and the overall structure was sound at least the remaining section has been revamped as an observation ramp rather than demolished hopefully the foundation bolt issue has been addressed!
Fantastic. The drone pilot is a great fellow, he perfectly chose the time and weather for shooting
EPIC VIDEO. THANKYOU. FEB. 2023
Beautiful drone filming.. looks incredible
Nice! I was there for the first time on Sun. Sept. 10. What a spectacular view from up there. That bridge was an amazing structure for it's time!!

Wtf was wrong with you? Tho it's not likely you did, viaducts should never be walked in if not abandoned

It was scary when you’re only like 5 years old, the space between the rail road ties seems much larger at 5 lol
Stunning presentation of man’s ability to construct and Natures ability to destroy . Beautiful scenery of Pennsylvania
Great video. Beautiful shots!
Fantastic video!
My husband and I and our kids went there any years ago before the tornado took out the bridge it's a very beautiful place 🤩
Beautiful video!! Interested in flying here. It's there a drone waiver that can be acquired?
You’d have to ask the park to fly from the park. But you could fly from outside the park from the other side of the bridge and do it that way.

Wondering if it would still be in service had it not collapsed?
That was the plan , for tourist rides , not industrial.

It didn't have to be this way. If only steel was used instead of iron for the anchors, this bridge would still be standing.
They were in the process of fixing that when the tornado took it out.
It's Trumps fault! 😁😂
