I was just about to throw the filter away since I was having a hard time getting in opened and closed. I was trying to open it with 2 screwdrivers 😂😂😂then after seeing this video I realized that you have to open the nozzles and let the air out 😂😂😂
Hi Joe.. I have a couple Eheims as well.. great filters. I have a 2217 on my 55 and an Eheim 3 Pro on my 150 .. this was great seeing your process.. thanks for sharing =D
Nice job with the canister maintenance Joe! That was the first time I have seen an Eheim serviced. I was kind of surprised that the bio media was not put in trays for you, but I hear they are great filters. I'm pretty jealous of the nice weather you are having there. Anyways thanks very much for sharing
Denny's Aquatics thanks for watching and commenting, The EHEIM filters are real good, I have no complaints! The weather here in Arizona is nice right now, but it won't be long before its triple digits!🔥
barryscottfujiwara I would go with the 2217 the larger of the two because of the live plants that you will have in your 50gl this gives you more filtration
great video joe i have a question i just got a new tank set up a few days back with 7 cichlids in when do i clean the filter like a month from now or every other week
Sharoukh Elavia thanks for watching! So, many things come into play as far as the maintenance of your filters! Tank size, numbers of fish, feedings! For example:, my 65 gal with two canister filters with around15 Cichlids and I feed once a day, I will perform maintenance to one filter every 3 months, alternate between the two! With water changes every week!
Diver joe thanks joe mine is a 60 gallon with 6 in so far and i plan to put 6 more this coming saturday i’ll do a water test this week to make sure the levels are good
Changed my new Eheim 2215 for the first time today. Thx for the instructions. 👍😉

barryscottfujiwara thanks for watching!! You will need two of them if your going larger than a 75 gallon
@@joeprofita i currently have a 50gallon planted tank 90x45x45, will eheim 350 sounds ok for ??

Need a media bag
Good one, we should never open impeller to super clean the same. Its a very fragile part and can break easily. Additionally its very costly
I broke mine due to lack of knowledge.
Ur not ment to put fine floss at top it go's over blue pad befor ur bio if u do it ur way ull clogg ur bio
A lot of theatrics and self promotion but sadly your video has very little useable information
