Celebrating what would have been your 96th Birthday, Seeing you in The Spy Who Loved Me in the cinema as an introvert eight year old kid was an awakening. You were my Bond growing up, my role model also, I adopted your way at looking at life, dress well, have a good sense of humour and never take what life throws at you too seriously. God bless you Sir Roger and Happy Birthday to you.
I met Roger Moore in person, spoke with him for about 15 minutes, and kept an autographed photograph. For me he has been the best James Bond; my favorite movie is The Spy Who Loved Me.
What an icon and what a life lived, very suited that he picked a spot in such a classy and glamorous location. A quintessential childhood hero of mine.
My fav Audrey Hepburn film was The Nuns Story, I've watched all of The Saint and currently on the re-runs, The Persuaders as Brett Sinclair with Tony Curtis, plus all his Bond movies...a very talented actress and actor who we have sadly lost but will never be forgotten. RIP both Audrey & Roger.
Thanks for this video showing my two favourite actors resting places. The car on Sir Roger’s grave was a model of the one he used in The Saint, a not to be missed TV series in my later teenage years. I’ve been to Monaco a few times, last was in 2015, before he died, and won’t be heading in that direction again, so at least I know whereabouts in the cemetery he lies, thanks to you. Loved all his films (was my favourite Bond) and Audrey’s too. Two great people with a love for humanity. I didn’t realise Lewis Gilbert was in Monaco too, not far from Sir Roger. Just imagine all the chat and jokes those two are telling each other!
Wow it really is a beautiful cemetery with all the elaborate monuments. Rip Sir Roger Moore my favourite bond actor and Sean connery. He is for sure a saint in heaven. Thanks LT for showing us his grave
Lovely cemetery. My mum was a fan of the Saint back in the 60s and a big fan of Rodger Moore, sadly she passed away on the same day as Rodger the 23 may 2017 RIP.
Lt you are the best this video was so special I never thought I would get to see roger moores grave site I’ve loved him all my life from the age of 11 watching him in the saint he was the best bond by far the most handsomest man I’ve ever seen thankyou Lt this was incredible ❤️😊
In total between 1962 and 1969 - when The Saint’s series came to an end - a total of 4 cars (all Volvo’s) were used. One of the Volvo’s was Sir Roger Moore’s personal car which he later sold to Martin Benson.
I think it was presented in one of Jay Lenos Garage Episode. Rogers Volvo has a Burnt Spot near the Ashtray of the Dashboard, from one of his Cigars he used to smoke.
The Volvo P1800 was from the Saint, Roger Moore had real screen presence, him and David Niven, a great generation who are missed, Excellent Video done with real heart. Keep up the great work.
Thanks , great video, I learned some facts I never knew about him. Roger Moore was and still is my favourite Bond, the man with the golden gun and live and let die would be top of my list.
I was a massive fan of Sir Roger and his signed photo hangs on our hallway wall today. (Same pic you showed with his PPK, from 'The Spy Who Loved Me'- his best Bond film). My wife was a huge Audrey fan and again we have a lovely picture of her hanging on the wall. Audreys final resting place seems more impressive than Roger's though, even though we love Monaco. I suppose that is due to it just being his ashes...Lewis Gilbert's monument seemed nicer though. I feel 007 deserved better. Great vid though, very respectful. 👍🏻
I was surprised to find Sir Roger Moore's grave very plain. There is also the grave of Lewis Gilbert nearby, and I hope to visit there one day, singing "Nobody does it better". Your video is informative. Thank you.
That was his own personal car, because The Saint was on low budget, he used his own car in that series. The car later turned up and a man from US purchased the car, and has it running now and there is a burn on the dash from one of Sir Roger’s cigars. Which apparently he tells everyone that takes an interest in the car. I believe you can even search for the interview and this car on You Tube.
1981, I was 11, I remember going to our local movie theatre, to go and see Roger Moore in Octopussy, Live And Let Die, and my fav For your eyes only and A View To A KIll, those are my fav memories when snack food was cheep. He was my Favourite Bond!! ❤

Hi LT .... you go to some of the most beautiful places in the world. My mother says Roger Moore was a handsome guy and i agree with her! P.S. Audrey Hepburn and my mother born in the same year 1929 she is still here with me.
I had the chance of attending "an evening with Sir Roger Moore" at my local theatre just a few years before he died...and didn't attend. I wish now, I had.
@@LTJonesMy pleasure. Roger was first of all a gentleman and of course a humanitarian. I recall an interview with Desmond Llewellyn, who of course, played Q in the Bond Films. He was asked who his favourite Bond was...and typical of the man, not wanting to name anyone in particular, but he did say that Roger was a true gentleman. That speaks volumes.
Rest in peace roger. I remember watching you in the 1960s the saint and then in 1970s the persuaders with tony Curtis. You will be remembered for year's ahead to come especially with the 2 tv series and all the bond movie's.
In the early noughties there was a James Bond exhibition at the London Science Museum. I was there with a friend. I suddenly noticed this old guy walking around as any another visitor would. I'd recently seen a Bond documentary on telly so recognised him. It was Lewis Gilbert. I spoke to him and he signed my enterence ticket.
At the 02:10 mark, your information is wrong. Sir Roger did not have any brothers or sisters. He was an only child. The Volvo is indeed the car Sir Roger drove whilst making "The Saint." It was Simon Templar's car.
