Each time Jesus used the word love, there was a deeper meaning. Brotherly love, motherly love, unconditional love. Each love was a step higher, until just asked do you agape, greatest, love me. Peter answered and was disappointed because he couldn't agape Jesus, which was proven when the rooster crowd. So Peter said I falio you, brotherly love. And Jesus said, it doesnt matter how much you love me, feed my sheep. But in the end you will agape me and be willing to give up your life for me as oppose to before. Christ showed Peter he still had much more to grow. In our christian walk we shouldn't be self sufficient thinking we are able but knowing it is Christ who enables and strengthens us. To God be the glory.

Really? I thought it was he asked him twice if he agape him and Peter said I phileo you but the third time Jesus lowered his standard to do you Philleo me because he really wanted to make sure his sheep were taken care of even if Peter didn’t ultimately respect him and this is what grieved Peter.

Jesus said he would denie him three times, Petet denied him 3 times, Jesus ask peter if he loved him three times, Peter said yes three times.
The three times made it extra personal, and Peter got it right away.
I do believe the 3 times are connected, and Jesus forgave him, and put an emphasis on three, with three commands to peter, on what to do to those Jesus loved, with the gospel.
Some of those would reject and denie Jesus many times, But Jesus never stopped loving them, and still offered forgivness and salvation to them if they believed.
Each time after Peter answered yes, Jesus gave him a command .
    1. feed the lambs, take care of the sheep, feed the sheep.
And Peter followed through on the command.
    God Bless.

Let’s not forget what Jesus said!
The 1st time he said as a response “feed my lamb” (Is he talking about faith which he said comes by hearing the word? Then the lamb could be symbolic of those young in the faith.)
The 2nd time he said “take care of my sheep” (The sheep could be symbolic of those mature in the faith) and finally feed my sheep (mature but still require spiritual food (The word))
I don’t think he is be cryptic, rather I think it’s strait forward.

It's interesting that this video simplifies feed my sheep? The greek is different each time Jesus asks Peter. Compare Bible passages versions most interpret this 1) feed my lambs, 2) tend or take care of my sheep (Flock), 3) Feed my sheep!
This is Jesus last request, not to all the disciples but especially to Peter. He commissions Jesus to lead His flock. The next passages Jesus asks Peter to Follow Him to the Cross, which is foretells what kind of death Peter would glorify God.

Also later on he led by running, not walking, to the empty tomb because he listened to the women in the "flock, " a true shepherding moment of humility for an ancient man. (Caveman?) Just kidding 🤗

The issue is not that of love for Jesus concerning Peter, but that of what needed correction in his theology... Peter did not believe the Gentiles were included in the kingdom of God, hence the repeated command to "feed My sheep." We know this is the proper understanding of Jn.21:14-17
according to Acts10. Until instructed in that chapter in Acts, Peter was apparently excluding, for the most part, the Gentiles from the Gospel.

    Thanks
How amazing Is Our LORD Jesus truly He Is KING of restoration.. He keep saving his people from a battle they can't win alone.. The restoration of Peter was similar about JACOB and His Message.. Only how JESUS the maker of LIFE and How many times HE keep asking MAN about the things they are weak about..truly as He said He is Greater than King Salomon.. Wisdom of GOD.. He already sees the sins made by Man but He doesn't condemns only He Wants Answer
HOW he ask First ADAM and Eve though they tell truth but they blame each Other
How he Asked Jacob Who he was though for sure GOD knew his name only he wanted to Hear Jacob tell the Truth.
As well the Samarian Woman Telling Truth to him GOD reveals himself.. GOD isbthe Lawmaker and the Way Maker.. He was so compassion to find ways to dwell with his creation and just to finish his work.. Knowing his True Character as Salvation of all Mankind.. From Old to New Testament He never changed.. He was FIRM as GOD and hated lies, Sin and death.. How Great HE IS.. Worthy HE is to be called KING And GOD.. No one can do things He did for all mankind.. GOD bless
