Sarah and Michael- you are doing such a wonderful job balancing your work and caring for Arlo. Thank you for continuing to make these videos in spite of the added challenge!
Little duckie is beautiful, a lot nicer than just grey! Especially those eyes lol. Congradulations on Baby, although now he is already a todler. Beautiful tutorial, loved it - thank you so much! 🧚🏼♀️💕
I loved the last video where Arlo was snoring and making all sorts of sounds. I love that and just makes me smile and love that he's there with you.. Awesome paintings and can't wait to try it. Love Post Malone's songs.. Oh my those teeth.. who would of thunk... Thanks and be safe. Hi Michael..
I saw another youtuber do this duck, Gem from The Color Cave. I love this sweet little duck. She incouraged her audiance to follow this channel, so glad I do.
Have just found you guys! You are such a joy to watch and listen to. You radiate happiness and a feeling that we viewers can paint just as well as you. Thank you for this wonderful vlog. I’m looking forward to the next one. And yes lm off to paint a duck or two!!!
Loved this picture! You break it down easy. Goose will bite you draw blood. Yes they have tiny teeth will get you! We had one pond chased my 4 yr old daughter but very protective like having white dogs on property. Will chase off unwanted visitors! People included❤️😊
Wow! This is amazing! I tied myself and it turned out great!! ( not as great urs!) congrats on Arlo! He sounds so cute!! Also hi Michael!!! Stay safe!❤️ lots of love from the Vilarino fam!! Also love how funny u guys are!
Ok, so I don't know how I have only just discovered your channel this weekend, but wow I am hooked! I don't comment on videos very often any more, but I needed to say how grateful I am for these fantastic tutorials. During the covid lockdown, I've started to try to learn watercolour techniques, having never used watercolours before and only doing acrylics. I'm finding it really difficult, but these tutorials are inspiring me and making me believe I might be able to pull off something passable lol. I've just downloaded the outlines for this duck, the giraffe and the lion and I cannot wait to start on this duck today! Gosh, I'm so excited 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 Thank you so much for sharing your fabulous skills, ideas and tips with us all. Deffo a new subscriber and now I have a huge back catalogue of videos to entertain me (and teach me!) during lockdown. Keep safe and well xx
Loved painting along with you! There are times that I wish you would zoom in more so that we could see where you are putting paint and how your are doing your strokes. Specifically today, I wish you had zoomed in more on the feet. But overall, I love painting with you! Thank you!
Love this, congratulations on your new baby boy! I was so surprised, as I haven’t watched in quite awhile. Many blessings to you and your family! I’m so glad I’m back! Love your work!❤️🙏❤️🇺🇸🌈❤️👼
Love this duck! cant wait to try when i am done with work for today! I have to say, you and your hubby work so nice together. So sweet - and little Arlo of course. Thank you Sarah! I do want to ask - do you save the unused colors in the butcher tray? or no...... start clean every time?
It really depends. Sarah has said that often she will just keep working with what is on her tray and add to it as needed but for the tutorials she always starts with a clean slate to demonstrate mixing the colors.
Love the tutorial as I love all of your tutorials. I have about 5 kits waiting for me to paint. I like to keep a supply for when I have time. I kept looking at my duck and looking at my duck. I think we made the feet look too much like chicken feet and not enough like webbed duck feet. I tried to fix them, but not happy with it. I even googled images of duck feet. 😛
I wasn't a fan of my duck for quite awhile. I was not digging the bright colors. Even after my middle school son said, "Whoa Mom. I love that duck!" Then we did the part around the eye and the forehead and she really came together. I kept at it and trusted the process (and Sarah) and am pleased with my results. And am even more scared of geese than I was before. Yikes!
Animals can be tricky like that. As with so many things in life sometimes by taking a break and walking away our trouble seem so much smaller in the long run.
I know there's a unicorn tutorial, but could you also do a horse one? I missed my sister's birthday because of the traveling ban in my country, so I'd like to paint one for her...
ua-cam.com/video/6CWugzLbcXs/v-deo.html they have a Lets Make Art matter postcard horse you could use! I think it was done the same month as the unicorn.
Are you using the back side? It is usually best to paint on the rougher side of the paper. It shouldn't have changed, we haven't ordered anything different.
Hey Michael, can you zoom in a little more on the overhead shots? I find myself getting confused on where she is placing color in relation to the outline lines because I can't see them on my 22" monitor. TIA!
If you trace your lines on a little to dark in the beginning you can try to erase a little with a kneaded rubber eraser. After painting the lines will not come off but you could use some bleed proof white to cover them up.
Hi Barbara. You can find the duck outline here: www.letsmakeart.com/products/duck-outline All of our outlines can be found in our digital download library as well as in our Watercolor Project Catalog. Both of these can be found if you hover over Learn With Us. You can also type the name of the project into the search bar and it should pull up both the project page as well as an individual link for the outline.
I watch the videos before I begin. I have 5 kits sitting on my shelf unopened. Having taken several 4 hr watercolor classes and continuing to do so I have a difficult time following Sarah. My hummingbird is really nice but this duck...guess it must be due to difference in technique of the instructors. May try again. So frustrated and want to give up.
Sarah talked about it in last weeks tutorial so not terribly behind. They got new brushes a while ago and she couldn't decide if the brushes should continue the names or get names of their own.
You know that I paused the video to google 'goose teeth tongue'.....that is disturbing.....they look prehistoric......I love the duck tutorial though....and of course baby Arlo's noises......
Hi Kyenna! Sarah actually did a Cat last September and a Golden Retriever last may. We will get them linked here for you. Kitty Cat: www.letsmakeart.com/products/kitty-cat-watercolor-kit Golden Retriever: www.letsmakeart.com/products/golden-retriever-kit

So nice to meet you! Thank you for the comment. We would love to see your paintings if you ever want to share with us over on Facebook or Instagram.
@@LetsMakeArt I shared the duck on Instagram yesterday and tagged you. So happy with it, for my first attempt at following one of your tutorials 😁🦆 x
Love the duck! And I think you should call her Mimi after Mimi from the Drew Carey Show!! 😁
Oh that was a good show! #throwbackthursday
I painted a cassowary a couple of days ago, that I’m proud of, wish I could show you!😀
your videos are well filmed.
Loved painting along with you! There are times that I wish you would zoom in more so that we could see where you are putting paint and how your are doing your strokes. Specifically today, I wish you had zoomed in more on the feet. But overall, I love painting with you! Thank you!
Thank you for the feedback we will remember that for next time.
Love this, congratulations on your new baby boy! I was so surprised, as I haven’t watched in quite awhile. Many blessings to you and your family! I’m so glad I’m back! Love your work!❤️🙏❤️🇺🇸🌈❤️👼
Hello can I ask which of the Princeton brushes you are using?
Love this duck! cant wait to try when i am done with work for today! I have to say, you and your hubby work so nice together. So sweet - and little Arlo of course. Thank you Sarah! I do want to ask - do you save the unused colors in the butcher tray? or no...... start clean every time?
It really depends. Sarah has said that often she will just keep working with what is on her tray and add to it as needed but for the tutorials she always starts with a clean slate to demonstrate mixing the colors.
"He's new" lol like he's a coworker that just arrived
Oh my gosh, I think Sarah Cray just named her duck after me! 😍
Awesome
What kind of watercolor paper comes included in the kits? I mean, brand and weight. Thank you

Animals can be tricky like that. As with so many things in life sometimes by taking a break and walking away our trouble seem so much smaller in the long run.
What type of watercolour paints do you use? I noticed you use them from an eye dropper so am assuming they are a liquid paint. Would love to know.
Yes, we use liquid watercolor for most of our projects. Usually they are Dandelion Paint Co. paints in a few cases they are Dr. P.H. Martin.
Those baby noises...😍
The best
Sarah: I can't tell you how many times I have drunk my paint water
Baby Arlo: 👀
I use a wooden cuticle stick so as not to mark my outline page. Just use a slight pressure
would someone be able to tell me what brand of paints are used, the link doesn't link for me
I use tube colors, do you always use liquid colors
Almost exclusively in our projects yes. Sarah likes how vibrant the colors are.
I know there's a unicorn tutorial, but could you also do a horse one? I missed my sister's birthday because of the traveling ban in my country, so I'd like to paint one for her...
Why not just do the unicorn without the horn?
ua-cam.com/video/6CWugzLbcXs/v-deo.html they have a Lets Make Art matter postcard horse you could use! I think it was done the same month as the unicorn.
@@KraftingKreations I'd like it to have more of a body...
Arlo is cute
Did you change paper in the subscription box? It seems different.
TIA!
Thank you for the feed back we will see what we can do.
What do you do after the paint is dry if the pencil lines are too dark like yours for the shadow under his chin?
If you trace your lines on a little to dark in the beginning you can try to erase a little with a kneaded rubber eraser. After painting the lines will not come off but you could use some bleed proof white to cover them up.
Looking for the outline(s). Went to web site, About, and I still don’t see it. Help?
Hi Barbara. Oh I didn't notice the baby 😂 till you said. Btw you look like Sabrina
If snoring bothers you...TO BAD!!!

My hummingbird is really nice but this duck...guess it must be due to difference in technique of the instructors. May try again. So frustrated and want to give up.
Can we buy your paints separate from a kit Sarah. You have a very good baby.
Wonderful! More closeups please, Michael.
You got it!
Their teeth......that's why it hurts so bad when they bite you!! They are mean! LOL
When did Sarah change the names from Hank & Keith?? I’m sooo behind! 😂
Attention Please! You can never UNSEE the inside of the duck‘s mouth😂😂😂
Can we so a cat and dog next then a portrait of Mona Lisa. I ask Mona Lisa because I want to do a portrait of a person and she came to mind.
Hi Kyenna! Sarah actually did a Cat last September and a Golden Retriever last may. We will get them linked here for you.
