Michelle Rava congrats, happy for you!!!! How did you feel about the format of the exam, heard they changed it. Did you find it to be easier? Taking it soon and having a little anxiety lol
For the 2 year old, I remember that it is stacking 6 blocks by adding the three previous "2s": two steps, two-word phrases, and two step commands. 2+2+2 = 6. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for posting this. It is truly a much more logical approach than simply memorizing a chart. This application of logic helps to solidify the information!
I love this! I even have *a bunch* of kids and still can't remember. I loooove how you broke it down and suggested to remember the midpoints in that way. So incredibly helpful!!!!
Love this video! I've always watched this before an exam and also for my finals for pediatrics development. It helped me to remember and saved me from those confusing exam questions. Thanks!
Thanks you sooo much for this !! I always learn the charts and forget them the next day, with this approach you've made it so much easier to remember the milestones
Or if the circle is hard to remember, use the number you most associate with circles- 3.14. Then it's all T's and 3's, toothbrush, tricycle, 3.14, and 3 words
I would say that for the 3 year old, you are supposed to use a "pea-sized" amount of toothpaste for brushing teeth - nice way of remembering that circle! pea = circle
As a baby, I skipped the babbling/ cooing part of babyhood and in kindergarten, I was reading the schoolwork and when the rest were still sounding it out in long lessons, I basically rolled my eyes and then when it was my turn, I read the entire page at the same words per minute rate as you speak and I was so fluent I was already reading like 3 chapters within an hour
Can draw: a CIrcle at 3 yrs a Cross at 4 yrs a Square at 5 yrs and a triangle at 5 yrs An easy way to remember this is by following the clockwise order of buttons on a Playstation remote control....starting at 3'o clock(age 3) of course :) Somebody on this other video posted it.....and the link is here: /watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=D98aNiJKaLQ Not spamming...just sharing
Very good video. It was organised well, and presented the required info in a clear and concise manner. I also liked the side commentary of the speaker. These things go a long way in helping med students to retain knowledge long term. Thanks and keep up the good work :)
Great video, thanks for making it! I try to remember 3-year-olds drawing a circle as being able to do THREE (hundred and sixty) degrees, might be helpful for some.
also for 6 months, you can remember transferring from one hand to the other (bringing an object to the midline/half a year old). amazing video!! so much more digestible than anything else.
I wanted to bring to your attention that when using the Closed Caption for this video, the text contains profanity. I suspect that it is caused by an automated voice recognition program.
My baby is milestone baby and he has no hearing and recognizing skill please help me out of it, can my baby will hear our voices? He is 15 month old now
This is great... I am an only child, no children of my own, immigrated away from my cousins when I was young. I have absolutely no contact with kids haha...
extremely helpful thanks a lot! spent an entire day memorizing them for step 1, now doing peds for CK and forgot all of it, this is, i believe, all i need to know
Med student here. This is absolute gold. Thanks a lot for the effort you put into this
Absolute lifesaver for what is an absolute nightmare to learn, thank you!
This literally one of the worst things to try to learn
Another way to remember that 3 is the age for drawing a circle: Pi (3.14) is close to 3!
😂 oh she is trying to make it simple, please don't make it complex. 😀
Nice one 😂
If you're a visual learner and the circle is difficult to remember: think of a peace sign - three lines inside - to represent the circle shape.
or, if you're a math person, think: a circle's circumference over its diameter is equal to pi, 3.14, which is closest to 3.
The peace sign has one extra line, you’re thinking of the Mercedes logo
my favorite is to think of a metal bracelet with a hinge that looks like a 3 when open and a circle when closed
You should submit this to khan academy!
As a nursing student studying for peds this helps a lot
This was wonderfully helpful to an occupational therapy student trying to pass her boards. THANK YOU!
Michelle Rava did you take your test yet? taking mines soon

Thank you. I am a nursing graduate studying for my boards. We must memorize every step for each age. This provides an adequate outline for the basics.
Awesome. Thanks for taking the time to share your brilliant breakdown of the diabolical developmental milestones.
This brilliant! Thanks for breaking it down in a way that makes sense and is easier to memorize.
Pediatric NP student. Fantastic video. Thank you.

I have to thank you so much. I must of got atleast 50/90 questions from my exam correct just because of this video. :)
This is really good. Even if you are going on to learn more detailed developmental tables this is a great overview - thanks!
Or if the circle is hard to remember, use the number you most associate with circles- 3.14. Then it's all T's and 3's, toothbrush, tricycle, 3.14, and 3 words
You sir are a genius
I would say that for the 3 year old, you are supposed to use a "pea-sized" amount of toothpaste for brushing teeth - nice way of remembering that circle! pea = circle
Nice way of remembering! Teeth also sounds like three, so that's how I remember it haha
Thank you UndergroundMed!!.....this was a great help for my exams...please do keep making more of these videos.

Really helpful, probably the best I've seen in actually helping you to remember things
Can draw: a CIrcle at 3 yrs

3 years= 36 months, a circle has 360 degrees!
if you are a visual learner and circle is difficult to memorise with 3 years of age,,, think of a tricycle with a circular tyre,,, :) might help
This is a good approach to memorizing these milestones. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you! Extremely helpful and concise!
Great video, thanks for making it! I try to remember 3-year-olds drawing a circle as being able to do THREE (hundred and sixty) degrees, might be helpful for some.

Really helpful, thank you from a nursing student! :)
I guess, in the future, milestones will be like, baby can open a youtube video at 1 year, skip an ad at 2 years.
Excellent Video! It really works with my way of internalizing information. Context works!
Great video! :)
By the way, I find it easy to memorize that three year olds can draw a circle by thinking of "Tri-gonometry".
Thank you so much. I love the breakdown. Ive tried memorizing so many charts and graphs.
Thanks! Thats really easy and helpful!
I am a Physiotherapist doing masters in Peds.

Babies saying "dada" and "daa" are them saying "that"! You're welcome 😊
exactly what I needed. thank you so much
According to NCLEX study book, at 6 months old the infant rolls from back to front. Only at 8 months does the baby sit unsupported
I also had a really dark, twisted sense of humor that I retained to this day
Thank you! Wonderful summary

(pi is defined as the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter)
