      Thanks! I get questions about this several times a month, so thought it about time to put it in a video.

    George, I'm a hobbyist that shoots in RAW. I'm also new to Elements (2023). I just recently added Elements+ because of the focus stacking option. Do you have a tutorial that covers how to first do editing in Camera Raw and then focus stack? Is there a way to do all the image manipulation in Camera Raw to all images at the same time? Thank you in advance.

      Hi, sorry, I don't have any tutorials on focus stacking. You are not able to batch process images in Camera Raw. The best I can suggest is to make notes of your settings, but you will probably not want to use the exact same settings on each image anyway for best results.

      @@HTGGeorge Hi again, I somehow figured out how to do it. I practiced with only three images. Now I need to try with many more and see what happens. I may end up with Photoshop if not successful.

      @@dianneandres3770 I love Photoshop Elements, but I use Adobe Photoshop for anything that is important and for all my professional images.

    Hi George. My question is not about camera raw but a general PSE question. I have been using PSE15 for years on a PC and have recently purchased a MacBook. I have tried Adobe support for help in transitioning to the Mac but the support personnel do not seem to understand me very well. I am planning to purchase PSE23 for the Mac. Do you know if I can simply back up my catalog (images, tags, albums, and all) from within PSE15 on the PC and then restore everything from within PSE23 on the new Mac? And if not, can you suggest any better alternative than just moving over all my images and re-creating the catalog from scratch? Obviously I would hate to lose all those tags and structure. I really appreciate any tips you might be able to give me. Thanks very much.

      I don't have a mac so can't give you specifics. Try doing a full catalog backup, and then restore from that backed up catalog. But I do believe that the mac will see the pc catalog, don't quote me on this. Keep in mind that you will still have to move all the images.

    Hi George, thanks for another excellent video. What are your thoughts on using Canon's C-Raw V RAW format?

    • @HTGGeorge
      @HTGGeorge  Рік тому

      Never tried the V RAW format but all of Canon's camera raw formats have been great. It can take Photoshop Elements and Photoshop a little while to add new formats to the programs. They usually update Camera RAW twice a year.

      @@HTGGeorge sorry I might have sent a bad comment. It is Canon C raw versus raw. I believe the c stands for condensed? Thx

      @HTGGeorge  Рік тому

      @@Dappshots Aaahhh, the Canon cRAW format is a compressed format that reduces file sizes by about half. From what I have found there is no loss of image quality, looks like a greate format.

    Mine says 16 bit

    • @HTGGeorge
      @HTGGeorge  5 місяців тому +1

      Photoshop Elements Camera Raw can work in either 8 bit or 16 bit, the main Photoshop Elements program is only 8 bit. But you can use Camera Raw to save to the Digital Negative dng format right from Camera Raw to keep things in 16 bit. In the upper right corner you should see an icon that looks like box with an arrow pointing down, that lets you save to the dng format. Also take a look at my new channel where I am now posting all of my Photoshop Elements videos www.youtube.com/@HTGPhoto

    Hi! Wasn`t your plan to put the Photoshop-Videos on a different channel and use this one for Minecraft-Videos?
    To be honest, Photoshop is expensive af and i won`t pay money for it - so i just ignore your Photoshop-Content.

      Actually this video is for Photoshop Elements and not Photoshop, but you are right. I am going to be moving all my photo stuff to a different channel, but I need to get 1000 subs there first before I can make that move. Right now I am at just over 500. Half of my UA-cam ad income is from the Photo videos, if I move them before getting 1000 subs on the new channel I will lose that income and the whole channel goes away.
