In 1979, a new pro wrestling publication hit newsstands and magazine racks across the nation. It was Pro Wrestling Illustrated. When the first issue went to press, Paul Jones was ranked at #3 in the Most Hated Wrestler category. Also, he and Baron Von Raschke were ranked at #2 in the Tag Team Division.

@@Frico1964 A little background from this match. In late 1978, Orndorff and Jimmy Snuka defeated Greg Valentine and Von Raschke for the NWA World Tag Team Belts. They later dropped them to Von Raschke & Jones. Orndorff would soon leave the Mid-Atlantic and Snuka would soon go heel, taking on Buddy Rogers as his manager.
