Have you created a video on the MOT vs OTD? I have heard salary increase with OTD is negligible and all practitioners I have asked recommend going with the MOT to save on school time and starting working and making money faster I’m deciding between schools now. I also read that some universities have a quota for professors with post-professional doctorates. One OT I worked for even said if she went back for a doctorate, it would be in healthcare administration or business. So it’s making the entry level OTD look like it could be a disadvantage!
I would skip the OTD unless you want to teach. Most OTs don't teach. If I went back I would get a doctorate in something different than OT too. If you have a masters in OT and a doctorate in something else, you're more marketable if you decide you want to do something different later on. I just don't see much advantage of having an OTD.
