Snam what are you doing? I have work in 5 hours. I need to sleep. Now instead of sleeping I’ve got an over 1 hour video I need to watch. This is your fault. And I don’t want to hear “you can just watch the video tomorrow.” That’s not how it works, and your point is irrelevant. My night is improved by 100% while my day tomorrow is ruined by 100%. Resulting in a net zero that leaves me both confused and completely confused balanced. 10/10 best video yet.
Imagine how much harder this would've been with the old B4B AI Survivors. On some finales they would just get stuck on certain parts of the map or jump straight to their death. I'd be running through solo and suddenly I have 1 CPU left because the other 2 just decided to go for a swim. Then there was the weird bugs that happened with the individual AIs for the survivors, a couple of them were *genuinely useless* because they wouldn't shoot enemies unless actively getting hit by them, would walk straight into map hazards and bosses, and there was no way to prevent them from joining your team unless you or another actual player picked those specific characters so the AI couldn't which limited your deck builds since some don't work as well on other characters The AI used to be so bad that even after they added a solo option (there wasn't one on release) you essentially still had to queue with random people or you'd lose on anything outside of recruit difficulty
I can report they still do all that on occasion haha, but yeah I’m so glad they added solo progress back in. Idk why they thought it was a good idea to do that in the first place lol
I'm actually just in awe you did this all with the bots... Me and my full team of friends were at our wits end doing No Hope campaigns since launch and before act 5 and 6 were even a thing. I know the bots got way better since then, (they straight up would not revive you when down and no one was around), but their AI is SO bad still. I was almost positive you'd throw in the towel and call in at least one friend to help, but nope! Kudos! Take my like button press.
yeah, these days a full team of real people almost puts you at a disadvantage... I've seen people say it's easiest with one real person and only gets harder as you add more real people (not totally sure i agree with that, but i can see a case for two being better than three?)
@@NixAzrael I guess it depends. If you're with random players it might be just as bad with bots but with a group of people/friends you coordinate with it makes it way more manageable with coms.
@ValerieHeart it is better to do no hope with the bots than friends. the bots have unlimited heals, grenades and ammo. All you need is a grenade/medkit build and it makes the runs possible
Its amazing how with all the effort and advances in game design since left 4 dead 1-2, no one has made a game to dethrone it as arguably the best zombie game. For the price and the amount of free community content you get, its just unmatched. I remember being excited for Back 4 Blood, then being super underwhelmed then forgetting about it completely.
Half the issue was this bloody system of restart in a game where rng is big part. I remember being stuck with a team once for an hour basically at spawn point because game kept throwing only special infested at us
Man. Getting every achievement in Back 4 Blood is a badge of honor you only understand if you actually do it and this is why. I’ll never forget doing No Hope with a full squad of friends. We got stuck on some chapters to the point of utter hopelessness
No kidding. I remember one of the DLC levels we got absolutely fucked on the corruption cards. That we had lost a good 10 times at the minimum. Only reason we didn’t reset and kept burning continues was because we were already halfway in the chapter. We had unintentionally found a glitch that saved our asses. There’s a card that favors you 5% interest on your copper when you enter the safe room. Respawning at one after you fail triggers that too. Same with another card that I had that heals 15 health and 7 trauma to the whole team. So after many failed attempts we noticed that we had more money then we did initially and we were full health. That was the only reason we beat this piece of shit game.
One painful thing to see, is that even in L4D2, if there's ONE survivor left, it is genuinely usually possible to finish the game, just REALLY difficult, and you have to time it, such as cutting/shooting a moving smoker tongue to save yourself This game so far, doesnt seem to have one. A charger? evade left/right, Jockey? melee push mid jump, hunter? evade too, just push asap. And iirc, it has a couple mechanics to make it possible by lowering certain specials at times. But this? It's just "Oh? You're alone? THOUSAND UNINTERRUPTABLE DOWNERS UPON YE"
Which is why in L4D2 it accidentally created these trolls/dikheads that rush ahead and leaving the team behind. Even if they're good enough to handle themselves, now you essentially playing with just 3 players because the game allows him to go solo, while you dealing with the angry zombies that guy aggro-ed, usually leaving you overwhelmed. Like, I like L4D2 as a game, clocked in 3k hrs myself, but I will never understand how a TEAM-oriented game allows players to go solo like this, and saying what you said is not an upside.
@@theotv5522 It absolutely is an upside. Dude, playing solo on difficulties above normal with the bots doing nothing and getting killed, you need the capability to make it through. Playing solo shouldn't be a babysitting simulator where you are forced to shepherd 3 clueless lemmings past thousands of cliffs. Yeah, I preferred it when the team stayed together, but being able to complete it solo also means that if 3 of you are getting overwhelmed, it's a skill issue, because 1 person can deal with this alone.
@@squashiejoshie200000that’s an AI issue, and not the actual reason why Valve let you go solo. “The AI sucks so instead of fixing it, we let you solo the game” is like saying “My house is leaking, I’m gonna sleep outside now”
@@theotv5522 I gave an example for how it benefits players, while providing a rebuttal for your argument of 3 players being overwhelmed by losing the solo. I never said that was why they designed the game to give players a chance when alone, or that it's the only benefit players receive.
ah yes, T-5 was known as the run killer back at release for nightmare runs. It was so challenging and felt so rewarding once you figure out how to beat it consistently. I was waiting for you to hit act 3 since the beginning because I knew that's where things get rough
I remember being stuck on that mission for like 2 weeks lol. They hadn’t added the offline mode yet so I was forced to attempt it with randoms and the older version of the card system.
I spent $100 on this game for the deluxe edition because I heard these were the same people who made Left 4 Dead. I’ve played it about twice when it first came out, couldn’t get past the second level, gave up, and haven’t touched it since. Maybe I’ll give it another shot, Snam seemed to have a great time with this
@diamonddawg12 true. Also you had no good cards. And no one to show you the strats On harder difficulties, you needed a good team. Playing with Randoms was pretty hit or miss. Mostly miss lol.
I personally would have stuck with Tala throughout the whole thing. She is undoubtedly the best Cleaner in the game. Bleed damage helps termendously with bosses, +1 warped chest means way more great gear, and Jeff is a huge help for hordes, and he can be called by anyone picking up the whistle. Not to mention she starts with the bow, which uses stamina instead of ammo.
Yeah I don’t disagree, I mainly just thought that Sharice was great for my melee build since I would barely get by the hordes and less trauma to heal up on would go MILES in the marathon that was the long acts
tala is a pretty good bot to have if you reroll the game at the beginning until you get her, because she'll still spawn warped chests, and also anybody can find and use the whistle (Jeff OP, Jeff is best boy)
The bow fires faster with reload speed and the Grim Reaper attachment can 1-shot bosses. That's how I soloed Act 6 on No Hope (used the infinite grenade glitch to do the other acts).
Not gonna lie, I'd rather chew through my own wrists than deal with unbalanced difficulty levels like this. Props to Snam for having the godlike patience for these challenge runs
It's not unbalanced. You just took info from one guy who doesn't really know what he is talking about. It's super hard but it's meant to be. It's supposed to be the ultimate challenge.
I unironically feel bad for people like him sometimes. Bro is literally so lost in his own sauce that he is CHOOSING to do this, and has been for years now. Im sure he enjoys the challenge, to a degree, but I cannot imagine that he would not be simply happier if he was playing normal, enjoyable, games. especially since he is a good enough content creator that he doesn't need the crutch of his own suffering to be entertaining.
@@Snamwichesthis was my own fault because I shouldn’t solo with a pure melee build but I DID once being a melee build to a corruption card set that had enemies both drop acid when killed AND had burning enemies in another part of the level.
It’s a difficulty for the best of the best. If you have difficulty it really is just a skill issue, you have to get very good at punching to keep enemies away. You can get through each of the chapters while only getting hit a few times.
Me and 3 friends played this game at launch and suffered max corruption cards on hard without the balanced difficulty. It took us a full 30 minutes to get past the first bridge in the game due to at least 3 tallboys spawning every time we attempted. We only went as far as part 3 in act 1.
0:00 Long were the night of me and my friends and sharing builds and WITH TEAM WORK, as bill says, crossing the street 😅 eventually we beat the game so I know this will be a GOOD one
I honestly thought you were gonna bring in a friend to join you on this experience to help make it a bit more bearable Snam! Congrats on the achievement though!
@@durpasaur3052I’m usually more of a ‘hang back and shoot’ type player but the gleeful murderous survivability of melee builds in this game turned me into Krieg from Borderlands 2 lmao
I actually really liked this game and was sad people didnt seem to give it a fair chance. Good on you for those no hope completions, thats hardcore man!
It's funny how no hope introduced the ability to start with all of your loadout cards at the start, the game use to be much tougher by only letting you start an act with 3 cards then pick a card from your loadout between levels. Also at 55:53 you absolutely can melee while carrying boxes, at least on controller it's R3 which you pull out a combat knife even if you didn't pick that card and you can hold R3 to auto attack. As a melee first player this stood out to be corrected. Glad to see you succeed with the challenge
Ahhh yeah sorry, I knew you could shiv the zombies with the box in hand but I considered it more like the punching to knock back zombies. Should’ve clarified lol
Just watching this reminds me of how many lfg groups i joined where there was always one person saying "no hope is super easy!" Glad I never bothered making that attempt, great job and great video!
Oh god. I haven’t had th at one but in a different MMORPG there was this one group where one guyWOULD NOT use the boss fight mechanics and kept insisting ‘just kill the boss.’ We wiped so many times on that one boss because the guy just would not pay attention to mechanics, even when it was clear this group of randoms could not do 30trillion damage per second to burn the boss down. There’s always one! I choose to believe that one just believed in us really hard, like a dual wielding and misguided Mr. Rogers, but in B4B that kind of person would have driven me batty ngl
This has gotta be the singlemost effective advertisement to literally never play this game UNLESS you have four other friends willing to grind for eighty hours. ☠
Snaaaaaaaam! Yay new vid! This looked incredibly brutal, I couldn't even do L4D so this is off the table 😂 will these videos be on the VOD channel? 👀 love from, a UK fan who is asleep for most of your livestreams 😢
"You have to play this game for 80 hours" Gonna have to disagree there. My friends got most of the cards like just a couple of good runs. They rebalanced earning supply points around the time No Hope was added, making it MUCH faster to unlock everything. I'd say in the time it takes to play all of Left 4 Dead 1+2, you'll have most of what you need.
@@Snamwiches Same :( Thankfully, the game is MUCH more beginner friendly. Vanguard makes playing with bots so much more bearable. Allows melee users to heal themselves and teammates on kill.
i dont think people realize that the point of no hope is to play with a tailored deck with a group of people where you use communication. The game is great right now but after playing the same missions it gets a bit bland.
So what you are saying it's bad game design. Every game needs to be designed so one person can solo it. It's called hero moments and those are vital for the success of a game.
@@requiemagent3014 thats just not true, you can play games and make amazing plays. but a Co-op team based game where roles are defined and you work together isnt supposed to have a one man show. i will say this game specifically is hard to have the 'gods strongest soldier" aspect due to the bots ai being a bit poor against certain parts of levels from corruption cards.
@@brennantutlewski7055 No this is just bad game design. Period. Coop game or not it always needs to be able to solo. Again hero moments. People will let you know if your game is bad and just stop playing it. Look no further than Space Marine 2. They messed up with patch 4.0 and the community got so mad Saber Interactive put out a 4.1 hotfix just a week later. People want hero moments. If this doesn't exist it's a bad game. End of discussion
Been subbed for 2 years now after happily stumbling across a video and I still can’t comprehend how you don’t have more subs, you deserve so much more!
Two things to note: NPC's will NEVER trigger basic snitches, or hags. You're better off just using the mark function. Additionally... I feel like karlee would have fixed your trap issue, since she can see them through walls. Also I haven't tested it because I never remember to, but supposedly the breakout skill let's you escape the hag.
This game requires quite a bit of strategy to beat at the top levels and you can't really just run in as the hoards will overrun you, much like in the same way that you can't just stand still dumping ammo into every tall boy expecting not to take damage. Lots of people have always seen this game as the spiritual successor to L4D, but it doesn't play that way. You need to utilize the environment when specials show up, find choke points when the hoards of commons arrive, and be willing to give up some ground to maintain a solid health pool. As an example, on Diner (your number 8), that spot you were in the first time has so much open space that once the hoard gets through the line of wire they are free to run at you again. Plus, tucking yourself into that corner by the diner door cuts off your vision of the right side of the map. Instead, try bringing some barbed wire with you from the safe room, set up in the corner on the other side of the diner from where you died the first time, set down all your barbed wire in the path leading out of it, and maybe some where the weapons supplies are. You lose vision of the left side of the map in this back corner, but everything is forced through a single choke point, and the layers of barbed wire will slow it all down significantly so that the common infected just won't be a problem for you anymore. Focus, the specials and use the mini gun on whatever bosses show up and you should be get through okay. 👍
30:30 you can 1 shot the ogre with the howitzer btw. Its an achievement as well. 56:50 actually you can still melee while carrying the crates and they give you a knife so you can insta kill regular infected.
My favorite build for no hope games is melee Tala. Bear claws w/built in bleed+talas passive bleed plus healing attachment on claws = best survivability. Edit: if you get the grim reaper on any melee weapon and use flashbacks, you can instakill ogres and breakers as well
Proud to say I got all the trophies and of my mates got all the achievements in the first months when the game came out. Nightmare was no joke, was super hard to get into the first levels, due to the fact that the game just didn''t give you all the cards from the start, that's what make no hope easier, because it gives you all the cards straight away. I think me and my friend attempted that house mission towards the end over 50 times and only managed to beat it then because some guy off pc had used an infinite grenade glitch lol xDD They really nerfed the game to the point where it became too easy and sadly the content wasn't enough for the player base.
your content never gets old man. it feels so much more fresh than most other achievement videos that feel like a tutorials. still waiting on that gears 4-5 video though!!!!
I am 2 achievements from 100% on B4B. Done both act 5 and 6 on No hope and other misc ones. I only have get 53K ridden kills and Swarm left. I commend you for doing all acts No Hope. As if you didn't know, NH is a difficulty specifically DESIGNED for you to have teammates. Bravo Snam bravo. Edit: To add on the health thing. Green bars mean Bolstered health and orange armour next to the player icon is just regular armour. Bolstered is like Temp HP but goes over your temp health and decays faster. Armour allows you to take big hits from special Ridden and not take any damage. However this doesnt not protect you from regular damage from normal ridden, traps burning etc.
this is a difficulty that tells that there's more to the game than stats. Meaning smart strats and solutions to turn the tables no matter how hopeless it is. First game that fcked me like that was Warhammer Vermintide 2. Never have I worked so much with my surroundings
see what I chose to do for no hope was build an economy deck complimented by a half assed shotgun deck to start, the eco deck makes it so I can afford any card I come across in the wild, and upgrade in the shops, fully stock on equipment, etc. taking every hive I could because thats a separate level with more cards and shit to find, very easy to become a god, a god that gets insta om nomed by a hag and fuckin dies anyway because unless you have a flash you better hope you kill it instantly since as okay as the AI are, they can't deal with that thing.
I was obsessed with this game for a while and platted it, every single time ive tried to return to it I just wonder what was wrong with me. Can't get into it at all anymore.
Hey Snam. I just had a super intense surgery and will be bed bound for the next three weeks. Found your vods channel. It’s helping pass the time and you always make me laugh. I just wanted to say thank you and keep up the great work ❤
Snam continues to bless us with the most amazing content. I legitimately thought this was unbeatable with bots, especially given how hard Expert Realism on L4D2 was. But nope, you did it. Incredible.
Bravo! As someone else who has also done No Hope with bots, I can totally relate to your frustrations, especially because you went into it relatively blind to the inner mechanics of the game. Heres some things that make the playthrough much easier: - Play as Tala. Undoubtedly the best cleaner with Jeff, bleed, and the warped chests to gain better loot - Use an economy build. Copper is huge in this game, and having a surplus of cash can give the players more cards, upgrades on their gear, and constant resupply - Use the card that gives an extra life when using a medkit or defib. This can be super useful for keeping everyone with high lives, especially with an economy deck/reuse chance build -Intentionally swap to bots more often. Supply them with pipe bombs, first aid, and other gear. Give them rare weapons to improve their combat capabilities. - Take all ridden hives. The extra equipment and copper makes them well worth the investment. ------- Overall doing some research beforehand and optimizing your deck can go a super long way in this mode! This video was definitely the “work harder, not smarter” but honestly that’s what made it so entertaining! Mad props, I don’t think I could’ve pulled it off with your decks!
10:48 Idk if you squad up later in the video but trust me you’re gonna want a squad with a variety of different decks. One gun build one melee one medic/support and then the forth needs to be a throwables build for the special infected. Comms help too but if everyone understands their role then its not necessary it would be cool to see bro squad up! Edit: melee because melee build is a tank build and good wave clear. gun build to help w/ wave clear and special infected. Medic/Support because heals and money are important with reduced spawn rates. And grenadier because special infected will swarm you more than the normal infected will sometimes this is where he excels with the highest burst dmg in the game (arguably)
The biggest trick is the power of planning. Knowing the level, whats its asking of you, reading the challenge cards, and then bringing the right deck and consumables to counter the act/mission. You found that melee was OP on some missions but countered on others - so you can craft decks for specific acts/chapters. Flash bangs stun enemies and make them take more damage - great for nuking bosses. Barwire slows and damages everything - great for applying tala's bleed and killing all the commons on defence missions. Smokes and use speed make the act 1 finale a breeze, you load the shells in like 2 seconds and they cant target you. Pipes/bile are great for running sections. I didnt think no hope was that bad - and i never beat L4D on realism.
This game is wildly underrated, me and friends found it to be the best coop zombie shooter by far. Beating No Hope is an adventure. Also playing with bots is easier in ways than playing with a dedicated group, either way it's tough though...
It really is. It had a terrible hate campaign launched against it by L4D fanboys who didn't get the game they had imagined in their heads, so they went out of their way to paint it as a horrible game. But it's not. Its' actually very VERY similar to L4D but with enough added changes that give it enough to be a "spiritual successor" to L4D - which is what it was marketed as from the very start. Nearly every criticism lobbied against this game is either provably false or completely pointless and just thrown up to try and make it look bad, like the 6 tombstones in the single map that has graves not having 'realistic destruction physics' like in L4D, or the death ragdolling not being mocapped. As far as I'm aware, most people aren't playing either L4D or B4B because of how the bodies fall when they die. Who cares? It's just a point brought up to attack B4B.The game was essentially doomed by the L4D community because it wasn't by Valve, pure and simple.
@@jazzyjswift But the critisism it got was deserved. The story is nonexistent, characters are boring, multiplayer is not fun and this game is just too clunky to play. You say that things like "destructable environment" and "how bodies fall" dont matter but they really do in Horde shooters. If you have fun in this game then good for you but dont think that the hate it gets is out of nowhere.
@@roki8062 A lot of the hate was from Crowbat's UA-cam video that served as a bias hit piece against the game. He highlighted how L4D2 has better music, facial animations, death animations, and little things like fire, or water animations. Yet he didn't highlight a single thing B4B does better, such as the immensely deep perk card system, with over 200 cards. The many different enemy, and hazards types. Or the extensive array of weapons, with varied attachments, and rarities. Essentially adding a heavy rogue lite aspect to the game. Not the mention the gameplay is very good, with snappy controls, and rewarding skill based combat through a linear, yet quite long campaign. Myself, and the several friends I played the game with fully agreed that having significantly deeper gameplay mechanics were more important to us that things you don't notice much in this genre of games, such as facial animations, or story. L4D2 is a true classic, and better for its time, but I think B4B is better by current standards, the gameplay is on another level. Also B4B was poorly marketed, it shouldn't have relied on such a strong connection to L4D, touting that it had some original devs on its team. It would have absolutely been more well received if it was made more apparent that it was different. The overly hard difficulty turned people away early on as well, but that was fully fixed a couple months later with the holiday update. Also it sounds like you didn't like the game, which is totally fine, but multiplayer is excellent in B4B, even the lobby system makes for fast matches. But the game really relies on good communication, and teamwork, it is often an engaging experience. Also I wouldn't say the game is clunky at all, we had always noted that the controls in B4B are extremely snappy, and fast. I've yet to play an FPS with such responsive movement, though it's not very realistic. Something like Halo Infinite is close, but that of course has the stylistic choice of a lower gravity feel. B4B is objectively a good game. To some it's excellent, and to some it's bad. But it's certainly worth trying out.
@zsookah3 Aint no way you're trying to deflect valid criticism by crying about Crowbcat. Ain't reading the rest of that garbage essay. Game sucks. Case closed. Go Ride TurtleMockStudios somewhere else
@@jazzyjswift its pretty ironic how you say it got hate by fanboys but your post comes off as a bitter fanboy yourself edit: yeah your other post tells me i am pretty spot on
LETS GOOOO! I loved 100%ing back4blood. No hope was so crazy, i remember the gang and i SLOWLY and methodically going thru the act because it was so brutal. Last game i played that gave me an adrenaline rush. Each memeber needed to have the perfectly synergistic deck and role. Talk about a team building exercise. There was this one deck that was glitched and every time you pick up a gun you heal te team and id be te medic spamming gun equips to keep the team at 100% health it was hilarious and super fun. I remember one time we started playing somewhere around noon and when we finished the act it was night outside lol
I remember when No Hope was released and I was already having fun on Nightmare. No hope was a reality check, Expert Realism is way easier than No Hope. Ridden Hives is an easy way to skip certain problematic parts (I'm talking about you, No Sanctuary) at the expense of... Having 30hp and a lot of trauma. Having Dan or Tala on the team was a blessing so I could use Sharice. Levels I struggled with: Grave Danger, T-5, Act 5 and Act 6.
This game could've been good. But it was so overtuned you'd need to sweat more than a nerd (me) at a convention to beat a level. Also cards are dumb sometimes.
I can't wait to finish watching this video for the first time so that I can watch it every night to go to sleep. And that means tonight as well. I'll watch it now and then I'll watch again tonight. And then again the next night, and then again and again until I decide I'd like to watch the L4D videos again, and then through all of Snam's video's before cycling back to this video, increasing the views this video gets because I must watch Snam
Aye I have 1000 hours in this game! Love this game actually just started playing it again ealier today lol. Also the ai is better than most Randoms you'll get in lfg so just keep that in mind. But honestly I probably liked it more than most cause I never played left 4 dead though. They messed this game up by trying to say it was the next l4d instead of saying it was heavenly inspired yet had it's own twist
I've been trying to do No Hope since it launched and I just gave up at this point, I've tried with people who know what they're doing and the sheer bad luck and lack of copper just chokes you to death the further you go, it is an interesting challenge but one that I'll probably have to pass on. Can't wait to see how you do Snam!
Well played, sunk nearly 50 days of playtime on this game😂 all achievements done and skins for all characters and weapons including the seasonal ones. Great video as usual Snam👌🏽
The 4 original Acts of the game are fairly balanced and surprisingly fun with friends running decent decks. The DLC Acts are absolutely awful and the special enemy design is also dog shit.
its wild to me their idea for separate DLCs actively exclude you from playing them. If you load up the DLC mission and go through a hive you're skipping DLC with a previous DLC, but if you ignore the hive you're skipping DLC for DLC. It's just such an odd choice. Whoever thought giving players bear traps as a weapon probably shouldn't be balancing for a horde shooter, why would a single target trap be useful when you're constantly surrounded by 50 enemies and the only ones you actually *want* to hold in place will never get to touch the trap because of the cannon fodder swarming around them
@@Penquinn14Saying Bear Traps are useless is very funny, play Nightmare or No Hope and having a Special Locked in place whislt you're holding a choke hold is so helpful. Also you The Hives are a completely optional Side Objective you DON'T HAVE to engage witt them. If you think the hives make you miss out on the DLC Mission maybe beat the DLC first and then engae in hives after you beat the DLC.
@@Gameking0201 that would be useful, if on Nightmare and No Hope there weren't 5+ special alive at all times, or if the other options for that slot weren't more useful. Taking bear traps means you pick them over the tool kit, tazer, razor wire, defib. Why bother locking down a single special when you can take a tazer that lets you free yourself from any of the specials anyways, or why would you take a bear trap over avoiding an alarmed door? Yes the hives are optional DLC, but its still DLC you paid for that you now have to choose between playing or playing the *other* DLC you paid for. They could've just added an option to come out of the hives on the same mission segment instead of skipping it all, but instead the Hives are treated like their own campaign while *not being a campaign* . The hives *do* make you miss the DLC mission, *if you choose to take them* , that's my entire point. It's 2 DLCs that you can't play without paying for that exclude you from doing them together. At that point why didn't they just make 2 DLC maps instead of making one of them a mechanic that inserts it randomly into your campaign? The Hive DLC is a cool mechanic, but it actively takes things away from a run if you take them. If you play the DLC mission you don't miss anything about it because it's an actual campaign instead. You could pay for the Hive DLC and run through an act without ever finding one, that's paying for mechanics you have a chance to not experience whereas the Children of the Worm DLC is one you can choose from the beginning to start and the only way you'd miss playing any of it is by trying to get your money's worth out of the other DLC you paid for. The Hive DLC mechanic at its core rests on the idea that you get burned out of going through the hives over and over, otherwise it's nothing but incentive to ignore the actual act you were playing to get extra loot. The Hives are a bit harder cuz of more map hazards but other than that they have the same threat as playing the level normally would except you have much more opportunities to get better loot, so the reasoning boils down to "Do I want more stuff or to continue with the DLC" if you play the Children of the Worm act while owning the Hive DLC
I've never played this one, and it looks like it's one of the most impressive accomplishments so far. Super entertaining video, really knocked it out of the park.
I remember the early days of Back 4 Blood. There were some points that I wasn't even trying to get to the safe room, I was trying to get TEN FEET from where I was standing.
Honestly, I loved this game. People ragged on it a lot but Back 4 Blood felt like it was actually made for the PvE experience whereas Left 4 Dead felt more like it was designed for PvP. That inevitably caused a lot of arguments and people attacking the devs over not doing Campaign PvP despite them saying several times that it won't happen. I think one of the more refreshing things was no goddamn monetisation via cosmetic microtransactions. In a world where games are just getting more and more money grabbing, it was nice to be able to play a game and get everything by just playing. No spending extra money for that cool outfit-just play the game to get it. I think if they'd let the game sit in development for another month or two, it would've been received way better because as you pointed out, at launch the game was... Unbearably difficult, largely due to bugs x) Still, I got my money's worth from it and I still fire it up now and again because it's just fun to play. Oh and uh... I guess your chat didn't tell you but events like the gravel dropper? You can cheese those pretty easily. You see, Left 4 Dead had a hard limit of how many infected were on the map at any one time. I think it was capped at 24 excluding specials? Yeah, Back 4 Blood has that too. You can toss down some Firecrackers then run your ass to safety and the infected will be eating your dust and won't respawn ahead of you, making for an easy dash to the safe room XD

Love the videos. glad i found your channel. When I was younger I used to do a lot of challenges may I suggest perhaps a No upgrade run (you can only upgrade Atreus) on the hardest setting of God of war 2018 ( if the year is wrong sorry) I did that and it was fun. I remember there was a part in where I was stuck for 15+ hours trying to find out the best approach.
Just had to pause the video to say that you turned my bad day into a good one now Snam, thank you. Now to get back to avoiding sleep for work tomorrow and watching the bloodied encounter increase 😂
With 1000+ hours in this game I wish I was in chat to help. I usually use my melee build as "okay gloves off" but the archery bash build would have made some of these encounters a cake walk. Bows use melee weapon mods, and increase attack speed with melee attack speed. If RNGesus is on your side (look who I am talking to) you can get a grim reaper melee mod. Which adds a 5% / 10% insta kill effect on hit. Including ogres.. on a bow. With unlimited ammo.

Imagine how much harder this would've been with the old B4B AI Survivors. On some finales they would just get stuck on certain parts of the map or jump straight to their death. I'd be running through solo and suddenly I have 1 CPU left because the other 2 just decided to go for a swim. Then there was the weird bugs that happened with the individual AIs for the survivors, a couple of them were *genuinely useless* because they wouldn't shoot enemies unless actively getting hit by them, would walk straight into map hazards and bosses, and there was no way to prevent them from joining your team unless you or another actual player picked those specific characters so the AI couldn't which limited your deck builds since some don't work as well on other characters
The AI used to be so bad that even after they added a solo option (there wasn't one on release) you essentially still had to queue with random people or you'd lose on anything outside of recruit difficulty
Well then it's a good thing they're better now, yes? Can we put the past behind us and enjoy the present?
I can report they still do all that on occasion haha, but yeah I’m so glad they added solo progress back in. Idk why they thought it was a good idea to do that in the first place lol
Yeah I can't believe they released that and thought "yep seems like that's fine"
I suffered that
full game on nightmare solo in 1 run without dying and the AI genuinely made me furious

Now they went from not reviving you to reviving you TOO much lmao
yeah, these days a full team of real people almost puts you at a disadvantage...
Sometimes the AI are actually better than real people lol
Its amazing how with all the effort and advances in game design since left 4 dead 1-2, no one has made a game to dethrone it as arguably the best zombie game. For the price and the amount of free community content you get, its just unmatched. I remember being excited for Back 4 Blood, then being super underwhelmed then forgetting about it completely.
Saaaaame.
The game would’ve been a lot better to people if they didn’t give everyone the idea that this was gonna be left 4 dead 3.
Honestly, World War Z was a pretty damn good attempt. It was far from perfect, though, and the name tie in probably harmed the popularity, too.

Despite all the zombies, ogres, hags and npcs deaths... the true evil could never be avoided... those goddamn beartraps
One painful thing to see, is that even in L4D2, if there's ONE survivor left, it is genuinely usually possible to finish the game, just REALLY difficult, and you have to time it, such as cutting/shooting a moving smoker tongue to save yourself
This game so far, doesnt seem to have one. A charger? evade left/right, Jockey? melee push mid jump, hunter? evade too, just push asap.
@@theotv5522 bro... you are an idiot. There is no more words needed.

Maybe I’ll give it another shot, Snam seemed to have a great time with this
It’s actually really fun with all the updates!
U couldn't beat it on recruit ? Game was a joke on that difficulty.
@delitatactics6721 I was a kid and suck at the game
@diamonddawg12 true. Also you had no good cards. And no one to show you the strats
On harder difficulties, you needed a good team. Playing with Randoms was pretty hit or miss. Mostly miss lol.
Game has definitely gotten better since, I only wished they stuck with it longer so they could've done more with it.
Wow i literally opened up youtube and snam made this 30 seconds ago, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK SNAM!!!!!
Now try completing all of the penances in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
All on the hardest difficulty, of course
@ well you have to for some and you can’t do the max difficulty until your characters are level 30
I agree with this mostly, but you gotta admit that there are some corruption card sets that just fuck you if you’re not the right build lol

Gonna have to disagree there. My friends got most of the cards like just a couple of good runs.

I think me and my friend attempted that house mission towards the end over 50 times and only managed to beat it then because some guy off pc had used an infinite grenade glitch lol xDD
They really nerfed the game to the point where it became too easy and sadly the content wasn't enough for the player base.
your content never gets old man. it feels so much more fresh than most other achievement videos that feel like a tutorials. still waiting on that gears 4-5 video though!!!!

Heres some things that make the playthrough much easier:
- Play as Tala. Undoubtedly the best cleaner with Jeff, bleed, and the warped chests to gain better loot
- Use an economy build. Copper is huge in this game, and having a surplus of cash can give the players more cards, upgrades on their gear, and constant resupply
- Use the card that gives an extra life when using a medkit or defib. This can be super useful for keeping everyone with high lives, especially with an economy deck/reuse chance build
-Intentionally swap to bots more often. Supply them with pipe bombs, first aid, and other gear. Give them rare weapons to improve their combat capabilities.
- Take all ridden hives. The extra equipment and copper makes them well worth the investment.

Overall doing some research beforehand and optimizing your deck can go a super long way in this mode! This video was definitely the “work harder, not smarter” but honestly that’s what made it so entertaining! Mad props, I don’t think I could’ve pulled it off with your decks!
this video will single handedly raise the b4b player numbers by like... 5?
1 hour here I come!!!
EDIT: I just got a banana to eat while I watch
Really underrated game. The card system is elite!
@@jazzyjswift its pretty ironic how you say it got hate by fanboys but your post comes off as a bitter fanboy yourself
edit: yeah your other post tells me i am pretty spot on
That was great Snams, glad to see you bringing out some banger content! Keep it up, you da man!
Doubt you’ll see this but I thought I’d share that I finally got my “hard to the core” on dead space 2 for my October horror tradition
I wish Valve would make L4D 3.
What is 3?
I remember when No Hope was released and I was already having fun on Nightmare. No hope was a reality check, Expert Realism is way easier than No Hope. Ridden Hives is an easy way to skip certain problematic parts (I'm talking about you, No Sanctuary) at the expense of... Having 30hp and a lot of trauma. Having Dan or Tala on the team was a blessing so I could use Sharice.
Levels I struggled with: Grave Danger, T-5, Act 5 and Act 6.
As someone who has 3k rs in L4D2, B4B is a great game, something I can chew on while I wait hopelessly for new L4D2 content (this is a cope).
I wouldn’t wish doing this even on my worst enemy like this actually seems like something you’d be forced to do in hell lol
This game could've been good. But it was so overtuned you'd need to sweat more than a nerd (me) at a convention to beat a level. Also cards are dumb sometimes.
Kid name Dead by Daylight:
1:23 i wonder if that is a hint to upcoming video of his 😁
is it not a callback to already existing Outlast videos he made?
@@Penquinn14 existing video he has is for Outlast 1. The picture is for Outlast 2, I heard it’s personal favourite game
He said he wont do outlast 2
I actually thought the Main acts were harder 😭
6:25 say that again
Those who know ☠️
I remember the early days of Back 4 Blood.
Unbearably difficult, largely due to bugs x)
Still, I got my money's worth from it and I still fire it up now and again because it's just fun to play.
I miss this game and when it was at its buggy speedrunning exploits super difficult stage. It was a really memorable time during the pandemic for me.
This man is the robinhood of UA-cam in some way!!! You’re the best person and creator on UA-cam!!! You have now become my #1 favorite creator on this money hungry app.
That's pretty impressive Snam, really think you should give Rocksmith 2014 a go, with its 0,4% achievement. now that's a challenge! love the content! cheers from the cold cold north
Bro got me with that ad, I never thought he would swap so fast
Love the videos. glad i found your channel. When I was younger I used to do a lot of challenges may I suggest perhaps a No upgrade run (you can only upgrade Atreus) on the hardest setting of God of war 2018 ( if the year is wrong sorry) I did that and it was fun. I remember there was a part in where I was stuck for 15+ hours trying to find out the best approach.
The Farm/Church was absolutely disgusting.. also the moment Snam realized he didnt need to do the entire chapter was priceless.. lmao.
Ah yes, Snam vs bear traps. My favourite
Man I actually loved this game and got through 2 campaigns so far in no hope only melee including the tunnels. Now I gotta replay it bc of you
Just had to pause the video to say that you turned my bad day into a good one now Snam, thank you.
