Ruby and Lutfi, the visionaries of the Willowbrook concept have always been interested in the relationship between health and the environment. Their combined academic background has helped them to start this initiative 22 years ago as a model for holistic (Tayyib) farming inspired by Islamic spirituality and ethical way of life. Ruby has studied Psychology and is also trained as a holistic therapist whilst Lutfi studied Geography at London SOAS before completing a PhD in Oxford on irrigation and society.
