- During the 1960s, there was a very popular TV documentary programme on RTE television called 'Radharc'. Some wonderful programmes were made which now provide a 'snapshot' of Irish life at the time. The viewer of this set of videos can revisit a bygone era that has now almost vanished from Irish life. Sit back and enjoy a trip down Memory Lane.
Commenting on the rise of Ballybunion, the doctor says "First, we had roomers, then we had boarders, and then we had lodgers, and then as we got richer we got guests, and now that we're up in the fourteen guinea stage, we have residents."
An Ireland that is long long gone ...... not sure that what we have now is any better tho' !
The world is in the state it's in because people stopped praying
the world today is in a state because it's full of greed
@@casper9373 I agree. And there is less praying too.
A Shure. There was not as much fornication, around at that time, or so we were told. Just a few teenagers riding donkeys. Jaysus he neatly asked if it was done😃😃
The world is in a far better state today than in was in 1962 by almost any measure with the exception of climate change.
As the level of praying has almost certainly reduced since then, we can conclude that your hypothesis is incorrect!
Wonderful glimpse into an Ireland that is long gone.
Wonderful - thanks for uploading
JUST IMAGINE. With the release of ULTRA D T.V. SETS this year (2017), everyone will see programmes like this one in GLORIOUS 3.D. WITHOUT SPECS!!!
maybe r.t.e. should give one out FREE TO EVERYONE IN THE AUDIENCE.
well, why not?
Watch out Magaluf, Ballbunion is coming for you with all these wild times
The earth truly is the devils play ground
Wild crazy spot.
"Very Popular" is taking things a bit far.
Great wish those days were back again
Great stuff
Was Ballybunnion in or near a Gaeltacht at that point in 1962?
Nice days the world as changed . And not for the better.
Careful now.
