Good to see the students having fun! I was the Associate Dean of the Korean School back in 1990 to 1993. Had to send a few students to the psych ward at Salis B. Hayes Hospital on Fort Ord.
You are so right! In 1985 the class was only 47 weeks long....what do they do now to stretch it out to 64? My DLI experience was the most fun I had in the Air Force though!
01KP47W0292 here - We had some that we wished would go back. Still, with DLI being the home of the one T-34 tank that saw more "action" after WWII....it was a hell of a great time.
Language training school, @ 5 months for Spanish and over a year for the harder languages like Korean, Arabic, Chinese. If you get lucky you can be assigned there as non language qualified support staff (admin, security, logistics, etc.).
This made me crack up. I'm guessing it's for a school project but I find it hilarious because it's obvious y'all had a great time making this lol

Bldg 640 did have its secrets and its own stressors. A lot more than some kids were down for.
Their Korean is so good!!
Our class had two classmates that got married during the year also.
And divorced by the time they hit Goodfellow AFB?
01KP47W0373 here... That was a while ago. Some of the instructors in those days had fled DPRK during the war.
