Cale, I have the same Milwaukee. I hammered the crap out of the dump truck wheels the other day. Right is loose for sure. Like you, I learned the hard way!!! Haha. Stupid design. That impact will break studs! Love it!
Love the videos.........aahhhhh Budd Wheels.........don't see them much anymore. Get yourself a set of Budd Wheel sockets....1 socket will take off the inner and outter nuts
The Wilsons featured their 1 inch Milwaukee yesterday. So two days in a row of the big one inch, Maverick, and the Army Truck. It doesn't get much better than this.
YO CALE! Hear you're going to have a white Christmas! Very nice! Merry Christmas you and the whole family. May the Christmas Season bring only happiness and joy to you and your family. While I'm at it... Happy new year! Hope 2024 is the best year yet!
Gas cylinders containing flammable or poisonous gasses usually have left hand threads for the regulator. The nut on the regulator often has a notch on the flat or else across the points, I've seen both.
Cale if those lug studs have an L stamped on them they are reverse threads. Later, in the video, yep I thought so. Watch out for some industrial equipment with the same issues, man lifts, forklifts old cars maybe your military truck or your telehandler. Love your videos Cale keep up the hard work. Merry Christmas.
Left hand side is supposed to be left hand thread and right hand side is supposed to be right hand thread! There should be an arrow or an L on the end of the thimbel designating this on left hand side. It may be covered up with paint and/or rust. Glad to see you bought an impact socket for that impact. I am amazed that people use regular sockets on impact guns all the time. When one blows up on you won't do it again! Good luck!
You have Budd wheel studs and nuts. They were always left hand thread on the left side of the vehicle. They are three pieces inner stud, intermediate stud holds the inner wheel on and outer nut holds the outer wheel on. Modern wheels, say 2008 and newer, are hub piloted wheels. All right hand thread and one nut holds both wheels on the hub stud.
The fun part comes when you break the stud off and you have the two wheels bolted together. You are going the wrong way. Left side left handed thread, right side right handed thread.
Non Farm and Farm content is Great. Love the Army Truck. Just a Suggestion: Yall need to put the Army Truck in a Christmas Parade. Y’all Parade may be several miles away. Love the Overall kill!
Cale, love your channel. I can’t wait for new videos from you and your farm life. I used to, many years ago, drive through Nebraska as a long haul trucker. Loved Nebraska, so wide open and very flat mostly. Thanks for the content.
We used to have straw trailers with ex army lorry axel’s which were opposite threads on the left facing forward and normal thread on the other side. If you think about the forward rotation of the wheel it means it’s always turning in the direction of the nut going on, this means the nuts won’t come undone.
The old style pilot hubs, the nuts are left handed threads and the stud is right handed. DID YOU KNOW! Barret still builds the slat side trailers? Now you do!
yes please drive the 5 ton take the truck mudding for sure. I love the 5 ton we have one as a fire department brush truck. I think its funny with the duck being so comfortable around you and the dogs i also like the cats making there cameo in the youtube video are you keeping all the cats as well?Seasons greating to you and your family.
Very Happy Christmas to you and your family look after your mother this year I think the first year without your father god bless you and keep you all safe look forward to seeing some great videos next year videos next year
Merry Christmas, Cale and family. We’d love to see the pond build. I was talking to a cattle rancher and he was complaining about his pivot getting stuck and having to run over corn. I told him about the Shark tires and he’s going to give them a look. I gave you the credit. Thanks for sharing your experience.
It is designed so that the rotation in a forward direction of travel causes the bolt nut to tighten up. Following that logic the wheel nuts on the other side of the trailer should loosen in the opposite or conventional left hand direction.
Reall6 enjoy your videos, I knew nothing of farming until watching you and Laura. Find all your various subjects very interesting. Regarding your reverse threaded studs. One of my first cars was a 63 Olds. First-time I was changing a tire, I was jumping on 5he tire iron trying to break the lug nuts loose. Finally tried reversing and like you, it came right off. Still no idea why or how long Olds had those. Keep up the great content.
Labs are retrievers. They have soft mouths and are bred not to damage ducks The only way a diesel can be flooded is if there is something seriously wrong with a fuel injector
Look on the end of the stud it will have a L For left and I believe the right has an R the driver's side has left hand thread to keep loose nuts from coming off while turning in forward motion
Cale your trailer has Budd style wheels with an inner nut two hold the inner wheel and one for the outer wheel , newer trucks and trailer have what is called hub piloted wheels . I saw what you were trying to do but all I could do is watch
I’m sure you know but those drill / impact drivers will mess your hands up. Had to have my trapezoid bone in my thumb removed after ripping the cartilage out with one of those things. Be careful and I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas.
have some buddys that work on the rail road trains an the cars an they use Milwaukee 1in impact on all the trains an cars an if it will work on all that equipment it will work on everything they carry extra batteries an chargers
The studs and wheels are stud pilot there are a hub stud a inner wheel stud and a outer wheel nut the only way you could make it work like today's wheels work you would have to change the hub and wheels to a hub pilot take it to the CO-OP and let them change your tires
I am sure that you checked all of the boxes. Like your impact hammer going in the correct direction and are they 'left hand' threads? So my 'joke' came true!!! I believe that some of the old Dodge/Chrysler had left hand trreads.
Maverick is like Taylor Swift. Taylor can start going to Chiefs games and bring in thousands of viewers who have zero interest in football. Maverick can do the same for your channel, bringing duck and animal lovers who may have no farm interest to your channel 😂 Granted, I love the farming content but Maverick and the dogs/cats are a huge bonus. Thanks for the upload and great content, wishing you and your family a very blessed and Merry Christmas!
According to the Nov. 30 U.S. Grains Council's (USGC) 2023-24 Corn Harvest Quality Report, the 13th such annual survey published globally, the 2023 United States corn crop is the largest on record with the lowest percentage of broken corn and foreign material (BCFM) to date
Merry Christmas

I just can't imagine Ethan going to get a burger in the military truck!

Take us down to the Platte river, so that we can see what it looks like at the start of river. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Yep. The older trailers and trucks was that way.

Those are correct directions. Learning curve.
Merry Christmas from Denmark
You are amazing! Blessings to you and your family especially Morgan (?) Mom.
Would love to see the pond dig job!! Merry Christmas!
They have had the drivers side going right and passenger left since the 50's to keep the wheels from loosening
The fun part comes when you break the stud off and you have the two wheels bolted together. You are going the wrong way. Left side left handed thread, right side right handed thread.
Merry Christmas to You and Your Family.
I was really hoping for some 5-ton recovery video action with Cale, Laura, Grant, and Ethan. Even without that, great video!

Thanks for the content.
i would like to see you run the excavator
The dirt work would be cool to see. Love the content. On heavy trucks/trailers they do have reverse threads.
That scene with the truck wheel/tire was kinda “riveting”…
Get it?!?!?😉
Yes left hand
We used to have straw trailers with ex army lorry axel’s which were opposite threads on the left facing forward and normal thread on the other side. HI ETHAN!.
Name two kittens “Sick and Tired”. A him and her.
5 ton needs some big singles with tractor tread on them.
Cale if there left hand thread, they usually have the letter L stamped in end of stud
The old style pilot hubs, the nuts are left handed threads and the stud is right handed. DID YOU KNOW! Barret still builds the slat side trailers? Now you do!

I thought way back Laura mentioned you wanting a new corvette
You need Impact Sockets for the impact driver.
Looks more like sand
It is designed so that the rotation in a forward direction of travel causes the bolt nut to tighten up. Following that logic the wheel nuts on the other side of the trailer should loosen in the opposite or conventional left hand direction.
Automobiles, long ago, used the the reverse thread on one side, but too many studs were broken.
Reall6 enjoy your videos, I knew nothing of farming until watching you and Laura. Find all your various subjects very interesting. Regarding your reverse threaded studs. 38mm is 0.035 smaller than a 1 1/2"
Flammable is left hand. Propane, Acetylene etc. Oxygen is just accelerate.

Hello Cale
I really like your videos but don’t fancy the subs, and other additions that blink on the screen.
Keep it simple.
It’s just my thoughts. 🙂
