USAF F-35A Demo Team bringing the NOISE at Airpower 2024: Vaporous Display in humid conditions!

The U.S. Air Force' F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team has definitely been one of the highlights of this year's edition of Airpower, one of the main European airshows, which takes place in Zeltweg, Austria. Captain Melanie 'Mach' Kluesner is the pilot and commander in charge of showing the public the incredible 5th generation aircraft.
This video is about her display carried out on the first day of the event, characterised by some rain, high humidity and low clouds that favored the formation of huge vapor clouds around the plane during the high-Gs or high-speed maneuvers.

I actually met Mach at an air show practice day in San Antonio - I was on base and she came up to the flightline fence to talk to those of us who were watching from there, along with the F-16 maintenance crew. Apparently she's one of the few people who is trained to fly both the F-35A and the F-35B.

Two different kind of displays because of the wheater and both great! Today the display with the P51s from the horsemen was amazing!!
