You are such an effective communicator! I have encountered these concepts before, but the imagery and explanations that you offer in your videos really set you apart as a teacher. Thank you for sharing your expertise with humor and grace.
Hi Nasreen, thank you very very much for your comment! Really appreciated ❤️

You are so clear in your breakdown of the tango walk! The incorrect examples help so much. Thank you, Silvia, for sharing your talents and teaching them so well.
Thank you very much for your kind compliment!! 🙏🏻 I am very glad that my videos are helpful! 🥰❤️
Thanks Sivia, On my tango journey I have been overwhelmed with the emphasis on new moves. The attention to details of walking was very helpful.
Paul
Hi Paul, thank you very much for your comment!
In my experience it is rather normal to put lots of attention to new moves at the beginning of the tango journey. It is only after a while that you seek more quality than quantity. And it is when you realise that you want and need to dig deeper into the technique 😉
I am very glad my video was helpful to your journey! 🙏🏻🤗
I picked up some great tips. Things like how to maintain a consistent level broken down into digestible bits. Thank you 🙏
Thank you very much for your comment! 🙏🏻 I am very glad that my videos are useful! 😊

What a great video Sylvia! You've got such a great talent for breaking it down and explaining the technique so perfectly. And you're funny, you really made me laugh a few times :-) Ciao e grazie!!
Awww!!! Thank you so much Sharon! 🙏🏻🥰 I think it is the unconventional engineer in myself that helps analyzing the mechanic of the movement and yet makes some fun 🤪 Un abbraccio!
@@silviamezzasoma Yes, that's it! And it's so refreshing to add those funny little elements in your video to make the explanation more fun and light. The perfect combination. Abbraccio 🤗
@@SharonPitman Grazie mille cara Sharon! Un abbraccio a te! ❤️
thank you so much!
My pleasure! 🤗
Wonderfully clear and useful. Other videos cover the same topic but only in yours is it broken down in a way that is easy to follow. In others I slow the speed and still am not able to see what they are doing since they talk but do not effectively demo. In your video there is no need to reduce the speed - you show and explain and then show what NOT to do - even better. Thanks!
Hi Beth, thank you very much for your kind and lovely compliments! 🙏🏻🥰 I am very glad that my video is useful to you. It infuses 17 years teaching experience which I like to use to help dancers all over the world! 😊
Very subtle breakdown.
I hope useful as well 😊
Revelation! I was looking for such explanation .Thanks :)
Thank you! 🙏🏻😊 I am very glad the video clarified some “obscurities” 🤗
@@silviamezzasoma Frankly you put it in nut shell and made it as an esence .Thanks again. For me - eye opener:! : ) as many teachers tell of it as "normal walk" .Sure that is normal ! :) .... after few hundred (!) hours of exercise ! :) I found especially precious the small hints in terms of leading and knee work,That was always for me a "misty matter"and very unclear .Now I understand that all , Very good job ! My best regards:)
@@franol7 😂😂 yep…not so “normal walk” after all…😅 or at least it depends on what someone intends for “normal walk” 😝 Very glad I could clarify some of your doubts 🙏🏻 if you need any more hints you know where to find me 🤗
I appreciate the tip concerning when the leg has to be straight or bended... Ialways wondered. Thank you !
Hi LiseH, very glad to be of help! :-)

My pleasure! 🥰 I hope this video help you to clarify some of the confusion 🙏🏻🤗

@@leannchen6091 wonderful! 🥰
Just show the walk! Forward. With high heels.
Yes! This is exactly what I am showing. In the exercise 2 and at the minute 11:02
I like the ideas and exercises except for one thing. The scratching of the floor is disturbing the continuous smooth walking. I prefer the idea that the projection is performed with a pendulum-like movement.
Hi Shlomo, thank you for sharing your view :-). For my body, it depends very much on how long the step it is and if you want to step on the heel or on the toes. For instance, for short steps (e.g. D'Arienzo type music) a pendulum-like movement is great. However, if the step is very long and/or dragged (e.g. Pugliese music), the free leg on the floor allows for a longer step (without loosing balance) and to give the sense of falling/dragging. Also if you want to step forward on the toes rather than the heel (e.g. to show a nice elegant line for a Di Sarli), then the toes on the floor are necessary not to loose balance :-)
