AAAAAAGH! I cannot express the joy and excitement I felt when I saw this. I have missed your voice and your sense of humor! It's like seeing a dear friend that you haven't seen in a very long time. Bunny ears would have sent me over the edge! 😁Also this looks delicious and I'm very excited to try it!
Jill, I miss your cooking shows so much! Can’t wait to try this! Keep ‘em coming! 🤗
Miss u too... 😢 Keep those creative ways coming.
I would Love to see more soy curls used innovatively in vegan recipes! 😋 Although I see them used more in Asian recipes. (Tempeh too, another somewhat ignored soy item.) Well, enuf of my hopeful wishes. 🤔🙏🏻
Bottom line,, Miss ya & hope to see real you soon. So nice see u again...!.😃
Please let me know how it works out for you. And thank you for the encouragement to keep cooking. 💖
@@ridgleyhawthorne715 Thank you for the suggestion. I was thinking the same thing (filming more soy curls cooking). We throw soy curls into all of our favorite comfort foods. I’ll make a point to film our every day eats. 😉 As for tempeh, I can turn my taste buds to exploring more. Just last week, after rollerskating at the rink, several of us went to Whole Foods grocery store to raid their salad bar. I had a smokey tempeh sandwich on ciabatta bread that was SO GOOD. I can’t wait to go back to order another one. I’m hoping to coax the recipe from the sandwich chef so I can make it at home. Wish me luck.
@Carolecjfo612 Thank you for kind words of encouragement. I hope you’re having a restful weekend.
Aaaa I'm so glad to see your videos again! I just made your mashed potatoes from your cookbook. Joy !!!
Jill your the bomb, keep em coming, LUV ya
Thank you for the joyful encouragement, Leona!
I really enjoy your recipe videos. They inspire me to cook for myself and eat better. Thanks, Jill!
Thank you, @MJ , if you ever want to talk cooking or ingredients, just holler for me through email.
It's so hot in Detroit right now but the first cooler day I am going to try this!!
When does it start growing cold there?
So glad your back. Miss you and I had to go look up your cheese sauce. Made enchiladas in long slow cooker for tonight. Hope you are back. You do not age or the camera hides it. You look great. Used the cheese sauce for layers. I did it like lasagna.
Really Super yummy recipe sharing friend 😋😋😋
Thank you, Nazma 😊
Did I miss the part where she put the liquid smoke in ? I'm sure she put liquid smoke in that 🤔 😂
Oh my word! I can’t believe I didn’t add any. 🤣🤣 That’s a first. We use liquid smoke, like Memaw used to start every pan with bacon drippings.
Looks delicious!!!
Thanks for making and sharing yummy recipes!
This looks so amazing!! Can’t wait to try it 💕❤️🙏🏼
Thank you. I can't wait for you to make it. Come back here and let me know when you do.
@@JillMcKeever I for sure will Jill 💕❤️
Looks yummy! I will make this tonight!
Hello from California
Hello, California! I hope it hits the spot. 💛
Excellent
Let me know when you make it.
@@JillMcKeever many times ,people presenting their recipes make it more difficult than it should be. You don’t do that. Your personality allows people to prepare food without developing anxiety about the process. Food preparation is a nurturing activity. It’s not like safe cracking. Thank you again
@@mrthemoo I’m with you. I want everyone to feel confident and comfortable when they’re watching, and when they’re cooking any of my recipes. Thank you for noticing and appreciating my efforts. Have a restful weekend!
Love your recipes still use your no cheese recipe from a few years ago
Hi Jill just got through making your killer chili for the second time only this time I added corn it turned out delicious. Betty from Nova Scotia Canada hope your having a great day.
That sounds good to me! Thank you for sharing. I’m planning to make chili this weekend. We have a cold front coming in today with a little rain. We’re all excited about the weather because we FINALLY get to don our cozy clothes. 😄
Off topic, my husband and I watch a photographer’s UA-cam channel, Fototripper, who lives in Nova Scotia. I’m blown away by the beautiful landscape and wilderness where you live. If I weren’t such a heat loving Texan, I’d could totally live there.
Well jill, I got caught up in the recipes for soy curls, but couldn't find them in my neck of the woods, here in Nova Scotia Canada. So I couldn't wait any longer so I went online and ordered the 12 lb box from butlers and .it cost me an arm and a leg.i took quite a chance not knowing weather I would like them. How ever I just got them and made pot pie filling and it was DELICIOUS. Next will be your chili.and I got all kinds of ideas going around in my head on how to use them. I'll keep in touch and let you know what I come up with.but got to try more of your soy curls recipes first.thanks for all your hard work and your recipiesand your cheese sauce is the best on you tube,I'm a professional cook so I know good taste.thanks again.Betty from Nova Scotia Canada 🇨🇦
Looks really good. I like you use a mild chili seasoning & can use the hriracha sauce per our choice. SometimesI would like to see more posted vegan recipes that really allow the subtle tastes of chili without burning 🔥 out the taste receptors...!😳🥵🤯😵
Anyway, Luv ya & so glad to see you! Keep those lovely recipes coming! 😊😋
Around my house, we have spice fans but not spicy fans. I’ve learned to use mute spicy chili powders by cutting them with Smoked Sweet Paprika and Mild Paprika. For example, when a recipe calls for 1 tablespoon chili powder, I’ll measure out 1/2 tablespoon smoked sweet paprika and 1/2 tablespoon chili powder.
The recipe doesn’t suffer and I’m still able to create bold chili sauces this way.
Thank you for the encouragement to keep the recipes coming. With Fall around the corner, my creative energy naturally turns to comfort meals and baking. I’m just waiting for the weather to grow cooler.
@@JillMcKeever Thank you so your reply & so much for this mild "spicing up' tip. (& to another poster's comment of using Liquid Smoke!),
We already had planned on making chili soon, so this video comes at an excellent time! 😋🌶🍲🥣
Take good care if yourself & I look forward to seeing more of your vegan recipes (So yummy!😋) 🤗💚👩🏻🍳
❤❤
I have never thought of putting soy curls in chili - such a good idea!
BTW saw you and your husband in public this afternoon walking into a store here in our city! I wanted to say hi but didn't want to bug you. It made my day though :)
OH you wouldn’t have bugged me or Charlie. Did you see us at Whole Foods? We went there for lunch.
@@JillMcKeever Next time I will definitely say hi then! I thought I saw y'all walking into Precision Camera. Was I right?
@@personalityquizbreak YEP, we went there, too. Where were you headed?
@@JillMcKeever Terra Toys with my kiddo and husband! Beautiful afternoon to be out :)
Where have you been Jill?? We miss you! ❤️😊
I’m working in the studio these days; building an art business. I’m still here. 😻
@@JillMcKeever That's awesome! We wish you all the best. ❤️
Thank you. I hope you will enjoy what I am working on now and come to love my art as much as my recipes.
@@JillMcKeever No doubt about it!
My Instant Pot Duo only has a pressurized lid, and I didn't know there was a non-pressurized function except for saute, warm, and yogurt. Is there an optional lid like in your recipe?
Instant Pot sells glass lids for the different size pots. Check out their website for accessories. But before you do that, check your cook pot lids to see if any of them rest on top of the inner pot.
My 2-quart cookpot lid fits on the 3-qt instant pot, and my 5.5-quart cookpot lid fits on the 8-quart instant pot.

I had a Patreon account for a couple of years. These days, I ask people to support me directly by making purchases from my website or sending money to my Venmo account. Those paths take less off the top than Patreon. So, if you’re looking for a way to keep me going, my Venmo handle is @JillMcKeever.
Leave a mailing address in the Venmo notes and I’ll send you a handmade something from my studio. 😊
You mention Charlie and Max.....where's Maggie?
Off camera, out of frame, doing her own thing. 😉 She’s still sweet and funny.
You’re still sweet and funny! Yay
earth shattering farts incoming…
🤣 Around my house, we fart after drinking water. 😂
