THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION BEFORE AND AFTER (1994 VS 2022)

The Shawshank Redemption is a 1994 drama film written and directed by Frank Darabont, starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman.
Set in 1947 Maine, it tells the story of Andy Dufrense (Tim Robbins), employed as a Deputy Bank Manager in Portland and sentenced to two life sentences in Shawshank Prison, due to the murder of his wife and a golf champion. her lover, of whom she proclaims herself innocent.
In prison, the corruption of the guards and warden Norton (Bob Gunton) lives firsthand, always ready to extort favors, cover up crimes and abuse their power.
Although he tries to keep his distance from the other inmates, he is targeted by a group of prisoners who beat him repeatedly.
One day she takes advantage of an occasion she finds herself in and, also thanks to her competence, convinces a guard in financial difficulty to help her thanks to her knowledge in the field of finance; From that moment on, things change for him: other guards and even the director, having learned of Andy's skills, ask for his advice, so much so that he will devote himself full time to accounting practices rather than forced labor.
He makes friends with other inmates and among them he meets Red (Morgan Freeman), a lifer expert in prison smuggling, with whom he becomes friends. Just to Red, Andy asks to get a hammer to carve the rock. He is also tasked with helping the old prisoner Brooks Hatlen (James Whitmore) in running the library, for which he will become responsible when Hatlen is granted, in spite of himself, due to too much time in prison and fear of the outside world, the parole and will be released from prison.
Many years pass but Andy does not lose hope and passion in everything he does, despite the injustices and bitterness of life behind bars, and patiently and in every detail prepares his escape to freedom.
