WHY DID SO MANY OF THE AMAZINGLY EXTRAORDINARY VIDEOS OF LONGCHENPA DISAPPEAR?!? So very 😢, they’ve helped me to anchor my mind within the space of naturally occurring timeless awareness …and now they’re gone?!?!
Hi there, I have temporarily made most of the Longchenpa series of teachings private for now while I seek permission from both the translator and publishers to have them up on my YT channel. I didn't think there would be any copyright issues in reading the words of a 14th century Buddhist master but someone pointed out to me that there could be issues as the publishing houses hold the copyrights with the very recent/new English translations. So out of respect and for ethical purposes I have written to them to seek permission and hopefully they will say yes!

I so enjoy and appreciate your reading these texts; I consider the great Longchen Rabjam to be one of my root teachers, though I also have a Tibetan master as my primary route teacher.
Being able to listen to these teachings, while practicing in the methods of che gom/jok gom, brings me directly into the amazing space and timeless awareness that my teachers have shared with me.

Hi Jerome, thanks for your lovely, thoughtful reply and I am so pleased to connect with a kindred spirit who is as enamored with the magnificent Longchenpa as I am. I also consider him to be my root teacher now, this despite me being ordained as a Buddhist nun in the Theravadin tradition. I recently wrote to Richard Barron and received a lovely, supportive reply with an email address to write to for Lama Padma as part of the Padmakara Translation team. So I have written to them and eagerly await their reply and am hopeful for an affirmative for being able to post them on my YT channel. I trust Longchenpa's spirit will support us in this! I'll let you know once I have a response. I can't express how much depth and support Longchenpa's words bring to my Dharma practice and my only wish in posting them is that they can be available for those other fortunate ones who can benefit too. It's a drag that we live in an age of copyright and merchandising the Dharma, but what to do! Padmasambhava always predicted this would happen. Still, there are so many plus sides too with being able to spread the teachings via the internet. The modern day version of Yeshe Tsogyal's celestial realm for storing the terma treasures. May his words and pointers (and Richard's magnificent translations) continue to bring you great joy and Freedom.
