    When Magnus plays outside of the computer recommendations, it is usually because the computer doesn't understand the human positional awareness -which is why you almost always see the opponent missing the crucial counterplay. It is simply not human to find, and so Magnus crushes the competition even with "suboptimal" moves.
    Note that when he HAS to find the best move he usually finds it -and when he misses "winning moves" it isn't blundering, he is just chosing ways to play that is less risky but still gives a winning advantage.
    Savage stuff.

    Magnus played this game with a very simple idea from the beginning - just attack the king, put more pressure with pawns, rooks and knights and all you have. Unfortunately, Arjun didn't really attempt any counterattack early on and had to defend the whole game, in a way allowing Magnus to keep attacking (really was expecting Arjun to try something here, coz he's already down). This game also shows how an early castle against an tough pawn-blocked king-side defence blocking attacks can put you in more trouble than safety.

    Some say there is a universe where the Magnus head is awarded, like the Morphy in ours, for Carlsen's signature incredibly precise play choking the opponent out.

    Magnus being Magnus. Incredible Player. Level of chess has improved a lot so getting 6-0 isn't possible like bobby Fischer. But the Magnus dominates every player like bobby did. Another great player of this century.

      Bobby opponents lose because of less knowledge.Now adays there are lines for quick draws.Thats the reason

    2:18 I come from whatching the Gotham Chess review on this game and it surprises me that Agad as a 1900 can give you a more comprehensive analisys of such a simple move while Levy as an IM just makes BS up as he goes or rightout says that he doesn t understand shit. The guy dosen t even take the time to analyse the game before recording the video, speed runs thru all the critical moves and still is the most popular chess youtuber.
    This world is stupid.

    The point of pawn storms should be to open lines, not to build walls. If you look at it, all those moves by Arjun wasted over nothing, because ultimately he never got to attack.

    15:17 I think I'm losing it. Isn't this a forced mate in 2? ... Nc3 and then white can't cover both ... Nb3++ and ... Nd3++ . ???
    Edit: Ah. Didn't consider the nuisance checks. Sorry.

    Magnus actually won this tournament with a double checkmate. First brilliantly against Arjun, and second...against those that have chosen to stand with an admitted cheater of chess.

      Magnus hasn't even openly accused Hans because he'll get sued to death for slander. He has zero evidence and made a baseless accusation solely because he lost. Every master who analyzed the game saw nothing that would raise suspicion, and thought Magnus just put up a weak defense.

      6:43 en passant is not a legal move here since blacks pawn is on b3. It would be legit if the black pawn was on b4 however.
