It’s just that he’s so good that even if he loses a couple of matches, chess world starts calling it his decline. Arjun should not be disheartened or disappointed with this loss. Reaching to the final in such a class tournament is a big achievement for him. Even mighty Carlson had many loss against Anand when he began his journey and Anand was at his peak like Carson is now. I feel Arjun gonna be real big thing for future. Surely a world champion Challenger if not world champion. I can him him facing Aliraza in world championship match in future.
Magnus has this way of bringing his knight up and putting it on the perfect square at the exact perfect time. I don't know how he does it. I think maybe he holds it back and attacks with his other pieces just to see what the opponent will do, then WAM! Here comes that knight to just completely hold everything together and lock in his winning position.
Carlsen's form is just incredible. Nigh impossible for Arjun to stage a comeback. Arjun is simply overawed by Carlsen and "Carlsen is just the greatest". Mohammed Ali will not be too happy with this statement

The h5 pawn sacrifice makes much sense. I've analyzed countless positions with the engine in which he shows that losing the h pawn is typically fully compensated with the open h file.
When Magnus plays outside of the computer recommendations, it is usually because the computer doesn't understand the human positional awareness -which is why you almost always see the opponent missing the crucial counterplay. It is simply not human to find, and so Magnus crushes the competition even with "suboptimal" moves. Note that when he HAS to find the best move he usually finds it -and when he misses "winning moves" it isn't blundering, he is just chosing ways to play that is less risky but still gives a winning advantage. Savage stuff. Best player in history, by some margin too, I think.

He's going to lose that pawn anyways after the rook attacks the base of the other pawn chain. Just give it up now and capture the pawn with the knight like he did.
Rook H2 in game one was insane, I didn't realize it when watching originally on the live chess24 broadcast, but after seeing it again I feel like this is a brilliant move. To know that you might need that later is insane. Anyway it didn't help but still an awesome attempt by arjun.

Magnus played this game with a very simple idea from the beginning - just attack the king, put more pressure with pawns, rooks and knights and all you have. Unfortunately, Arjun didn't really attempt any counterattack early on and had to defend the whole game, in a way allowing Magnus to keep attacking (really was expecting Arjun to try something here, coz he's already down). This game also shows how an early castle against an tough pawn-blocked king-side defence blocking attacks can put you in more trouble than safety.
Some say there is a universe where the Magnus head is awarded, like the Morphy in ours, for Carlsen's signature incredibly precise play choking the opponent out.
