i truly love Paloma Faith - I love her music and she is fantastic in Pennyworth, but I take offence when she speaks about her character being based on the "famous" Myra Hindley. Myra Hindley was an evil killer of children, whom she and Ian Brady tortured and murdered. She is NOT famous. To add salt to the wound, she then proceeds to make a joke about her character. Again , I truly love your work but please think before you call Myra Hindley "famous".
Martin Mcclean very true it's a poor choice of words. However I must admit having watched pennyworth I must admit with the blond hair and northern accent I did think she remind me of Hindley. The part is brilliantly played but I understand how this can cause offence baring in mind the family's of the victims are still alive. But overall love Paloma.
in the context of a serial killer, the word famous automatically takes on a different meaning- so it's safe to assume she didn't choose that word to praise Myra in any way. There is also no lie in saying she's well known?
