Nice work! Some repair kits have shims and replacement dust caps so then you can ensure much better that theres no rubbing on the finished product. Glad these turned out okay. The way Bose always had the wires on the speakers was quite interesting, when I went in and worked on my pair of 601 Series 1 speakers, I noticed that. I definitely like a lot of Bose stuff but in a lot of ways they can be just slightly overrated. Still great though, and one thing about Bose, especially these earlier ones is that they love power and they sound better the more power you give them(within the limits of the speaker of course) I went well over with my 201 speakers once, and by I, I mean some kid high af in my shop at school where I had them hooked up for a test maxed out my stereo before I threw him out(literally), it was about 30 watts over and nothing bad seems to have happened as they have been used a lot since then. They definitely made a decent speaker, some of them aren't as easy to get apart but by the early 80s they seemed to have that figured out. My 601 Series 1 speakers have grills that are stapled on, boo hiss, had to remove them and they got a little ruined, they already were though from 30+ years in a school environment
