I have always admired and respected Master P's hustle and grind! He took what he learned from J Prince as well as E-40's uncle and others in the Bay, and made a power move with Priority Record which was unheard of back in those days, and even today!
JT gave Master P the game not jprince and not e40 uncle
@@splmafia9690 E-40 did go on record and said his uncle (St Charles I think is his name) helped Master P in the beginning, it's on Hot97 with Ebro
@@splmafia9690Yup
@@splmafia9690got some from j when he went back south

Excellent video
NL made more $ than the Distributor
Did they?
80 / 20 was the rumor.. But No Limit made all the music paid for all the features (which was mostly No Limit artists anyways , and paid for all the advertising.. Priority just had to manufacture & distribute the CD's
@@DJMYSTERYYGC where was priority pressing plant?
@@sgvproductionz2979they were distributed by Capitol records
There's an interview where they tell the story about how Master p and the no limit crew walked into priority records and force them to finalize some paperwork and telling them if they don't that it will be major problems for them the street way. No cap
good editing job . it reallly makes me wanna watch the full int.

I'm glad he spoke about NWA family tree/affiliates
Is this the dude that was in im bout it movie the feds and the I always feel like music videos lol....he was "A LOW KEY" nolimit soldier lol 🔥🎯😂🤣💯
P pimped Priority
who has the Eternity Music Video Without the credits at the end of the last don movie ??
Oh s8&& he's right. Low Prrofile, WC & The Maad Circle, Lil 1/2 Dead, and Ras Kass are the only directly signed Priority Records artists that were somewhat successful. The big success came from Cube/NWA and their affiliates + all the labels that put out 415, Master P, Hov 1st album, Black Moon 2nd album, Young Murda Squad, etc
Jay Z debut album with priority wasn't that successful.
It did okay, it was nothing to write home about.
The legal dope compilation Pretty much let the cat out the bag
Well Priority was a small company compared to what companies like Sony,Time Warner, and MCA/Universal were in the 90s
Did P bankrupt priority records? or the industry in the late 90's?
Slick side
