- Hi everyone, today I am sharing a few of my 'go-to' colouring supplies and tools. These are the things I reach for time and again in my colouring and I thought it would be helpful to share. I hope you find it useful!
A lot of the pencil swatch charts I use are from @MyColourfulCountryLifeplease check out her channel for more information - thank you Karen for providing awesome free stuff like this!

Thanks so much for watching and happy colouring!
I also have several colored pencil sets. Until I realized that it was mainly because of the paper. I don't get along with Amazon printed coloring books at all. It was with a heavy heart that I parted with it and will not be buying any more. I have little time to color and I want to enjoy it. You don't necessarily need high-end supplies, but you need good paper like books by Maria Trolle or Hanna Karlzon. I also have the Color Cubes and saw your video on color selection. Thanks for sharing, it helped me a lot.
@@MindfulInk I agree - the paper makes a huge difference and really does elevate the whole colouring experience! Thanks so much for watching 🤗
I agree completely about the paper quality and books printed on Amazon paper. So I buy books by illustrators who are also picky about the quality of paper in their books, such as Marie Trolle and Johanna Bashford and Hannah Karlzon to name just a few. The paper and making of their books is obviously important to the author/illustrators. Very appreciated by the coloring community!
I found this video so helpful as a new colorist! Thank you so much! 😊
@@relaxandhobby so glad to hear that. Thanks for watching! ❤️

@@winter89_colours thanks so much for watching. Hope you found it useful 🤞
So true about the Prisma color pencils. I have the same issues as you because I am heavy handed and I try but get into a page and forget and start just going in normal and bam 💥 breakage 😂 I have found my favorite pencils for me which is the Faber Castell Albrecht Durers they are soft yet not as mushy as Prisma plus they can be used wet or dry or both which is awesome.
@@Susiecat24 I have some Albrecht Drurers too - I have struggled with them a bit but I’m determined to give them another go. Hoping that we’ll get along 🤣
Great video. I wanted to get brutfuner squares but can't find them on US Amazon. I've started getting my pencils from Blicks. Blicks sells individual pencils on a few brands. I read a post somewhere you can get King Art gel sticks individually if you contact them. Black Widow is the same.
@@Justwingingitcoloring oh wow - that’s interesting to know. I’ve not seen anywhere that does the black widows individually! Thanks for the info 😊
Great video, really nice to see what you use. Being Dutch (we have the name being cheap), have you ever tried to sharpen the Tim Holtz on a plate and water the pigment. Can you use that??? Just curious 😅
@@ColouringBikerMama I haven’t tried it but I’m sure it would work. They are completely woodless so any sharpening safe pure pigment! May have to try it 🤔
