We used to have a houseboat on a lake in Tennessee and 2 Eagles would sit in a tree behind our houseboat, and I would watch them for hours!!!!!! One day I was laying out in the sun on a raft in the lake and an Eagle flew over our houseboat after some ducklings that were in front of us!!!!! We had a 16 ft wide houseboat and that Eagle’s wingspan was that wide or more!!!!!!!! If you have never seen a Eagle in person, you haven’t lived!!!!!!!

    What a gorgeous bird. 🥰
Fun fact: the eagle noise we all love is actually a red tail hawk. As majestic as the Eagle can be they sound a lot like a seagull.

Fun related fact: When you hear a lion roar in the movies, it’s usually a tiger roar dubbed in. A lion roar is more of a low “Oof!” than a ferocious “RAWR!”.
A tiger roar is so loud (and subsonic in frequency) that it can temporarily paralyze its prey. 😲

It’s just nuts on how easy she makes it seem handling such a massive bird ❤

When I was in Alaska we did a tour of this place and it was really cool being able to see the birds up close and doing some of their exercises

I saw that bird. We went to Alaska last June and Sitka. They do a great job with the birds. Beautiful place.
