- Ride with Adrien Paynel as he races in the Alva Skate Fest Finals.
The Alva Skate Festival was a rip! Originally just a freeride and time trial, this year's edition featured a top 8 race. This course was intense for racing and led to some heated battles.
Unfortunately, my race did not end well. In the top section, I had the pace to challenge for the lead. However, in the bottom hairpins, I was forced into more defensive moves. I was pressured into the inside and my puck got caught on the edge of the road. It was all clean racing and I will learn my lessons. It was a pleasure to race this heat.
Thank you to everyone who made this race possible. Notably Portugal Long Skate for organizing such an amazing event. It will definitely be one of the Eurotour classics after this edition.

Damn dude! I took off my palmease a few months ago because they kept falling off.
Currently getting all of the height from a puck with heavy duty velcro.
I never had problems with Palmease falling off for no reason, but coincidentally this was the first time trying a different brand of risers. Regardless, I put my hand clean off the road so it was simply a skill issue.
