Lmao is this really him tho
I don’t know if you’ll see this but you should turn on g-sync if your monitor is compatible. It gets rid of screen tearing
should we really be trusting the guy that thought that streamlabs was open multiple times in task manager 💀
The fact that he didn't know what g-sync was made me doubt this video.
@@Zorisura I see your point, but g-sync does effect fps
y’all are right on the fact that tenz isn’t rlly much of a tech guy, but ask anyone who is a tech nerd, the advice he gave in this vid is actually rlly good
@@subhansajid6386 Yeah, but some of the things he did would be only useful for him and other professional players who would go to hell and back just to get the perfect settings, but if you use your pc for anything else other than esports titles, some of these could potentially make using other applications be an inconvenience. That's why the title is "How to Optimize PC "FOR" Valorant"
he does everything fast bro from flicking onto heads to optimizing a pc
When TenZ is the ad right before his own video
tenz, you are a life saver. this helped so much
5:37 that flick is insane
Tenz gonna be our guide of games optimizing besides gaming heheh
I never realized how much faster and accurate FPS pros would be with moving the mouse and clicking stuff until now…geez.
?
@@ature4441 I was referring to how effortlessly, quickly and efficiently (with minimal detour) he’s able move his mouse, and then following minimal lag after arriving at the target, click it (and if there’s a double click follows up one very quickly, and never over clicks)…but realized that’s pretty much what you do in First Person Shooter games when you aim and shoot (and not be overly trigger happy to save ammo and not be at more of a disadvantage with constant reloading)
TenZ is so quick at flicking that I had to rewind the videos multiple times to see where did he click
Gsync probably doesn't matter too much. It syncs your monitor's refresh rate to your game's framerate if your fps drops below your refresh rate. This eliminates the screen tearing artifact that sometimes happens when you have a low framerate. It shouldn't impact your framerate since the processing for it takes place on a chip in the monitor and not on the GPU. Though some claim it can impact framerate a little bit tho. I keep it on, and don't notice a difference in any game.
He is actually incorrect when talking about G-Sync.
When running G-Sync, you should:
- Turn V-Sync On
- Cap frame rate to under the monitor's refresh rate (ie: 138 FPS at 144hz, 233 at 240Hz, 350 at 360Hz.)
- Ensure that Adaptive Sync is enabled on both panel and Nvidia Control Panel.
G-Sync synchronizes the refresh rate to the monitor. When you enable both V-Sync and a frame cap, a render queue gets limited to one frame of buffer, removing unnecessary frames that would affect you negatively. When your GPU doesn't need to render more frames than refresh rate, you allow your monitor to display current and more accurate information on targets in game.
This is why optimization guides annoy me, because they will just tell you do disable V-Sync with no reason or explanation as to how. Only reason V-Sync should be disabled is if you do not have enough power to render your refresh rates frames, and if you are not capping your in-game FPS.
@@suppressed_viii Actually u should use G-sync mostly if u have G-sync monitor. Without that u should leave it off. I guess V-sync would be fine on 60hz monitor. Also some games do have automatic gap on V-sync to reduce screen tearing bc it is not as advanced technology. V-sync can cause a lot of input lag also. Some games it is just absolutely horrible and you should most of the time turn it off. G-sync is build in technology in a monitor that doesn't have this kind of problems. When having G-sync gpu and monitor u should turn off V-sync. Adaptive sync and G-sync are not the same.
thanks this helped a lot
Great content without any pressure 😊 thank you tenz from Russia!
i went from 180-250 fps to like 290-350, do everything he says besides the g-sync. Do not turn g-sync off😭
what is it
Doesn't G-Sync increase the delay in responsiveness? I know the V-Sync slows it down considerably when I turn it on.
@@andrewyang1993 so should I turn it off or on? I have asus vg249q with 3060ti
gsync affects ur input lag so yeah turn it off if u want better responsiveness
@@mangieh7 thanks didn't know that
Tenz when people refer to others as being crackheads, YOU are the og crackhead man you're insane 🔥
Thanks bro i applied these settings and now i get double the fps i used to get i used to get 50 but now i get around 120
Ty Tenz this helped so much 🙏🏽
G-Sync is the only thing where I would actually recommend to you that you turn it on. G-Sync is like V-Sync just that V-Sync is a bit like a downgrade and G-Sync is the improved version which is actually an upgrade in smoothness and performance. Thats the short version xD
Nah, with competitive shooters you just want more frames, usually. Can be a bit subjective tho but most pros don't like it. It can be good if you're having FPS drops to lower than your refresh rate, however.
@@Boomerangi13 G-sync does not have any kind of affect to your fps unless you have done something wrong. If you have G-sync monitor and gpu and it has been turned on, maybe a restart, it should be exactly the same fps, just more smooth indue the G-sync removing so much screen tearing. So basically the game is only smoother and no screen tearing. Same fps.
Thanks for settings info my laptop usually shuts down due to heating problem and i get timeout(more than 150Hr. for ranked) now its playable somewhat.Thanks.

It is Valorant. The only optimization you need is a working computer.
Love ur content
Needed this. Pog
Also If you limit your fps
Limit it in NVCP and Leave it on unlimited in-game there's a slight reduction in game latency
Also also why didn't he turned on low Latency ultra??
It messes with your fps and it's rly inconsistent
terrible advice, limit fps IN-game and let it unlimited in nvidia.
Woah, this made my game so much smoother
Thanks they helped a lot! 😘

I would definetly recommend g sync if you don't like screen tears
THANK YOU VERY MUCHHHHH TENZZZ
Good guy TenZ
some are saying that g-sync is bad for fps but honestly me or anyone I have asked have noticed any difference in fps. Ofc you should not use it on if you dont have g-sync monitor. V-sync instead has always been known to be bad for fps and this I can notice myself too. But their goal is the same, reduce screen tearing and make the game smoother. V-sync is just bad and G-sync good.
What do you use to clip your gameplay?
what do you record with?
Waait its been 2 years and it still works!

Tenz : playing on $7000000000 gaming pc and also HOW TO OPTIMIZE PC FOR VALORANT
I love that all these people are like "WOWWWW", yet nothing he said was all that great...
- If you turn on "Prefer Maximum Performance" via Nvidia Control Panel, it will cause your GPU temps to ramp up, and it won't enter an idle state anymore. Meaning when you're simply on the Desktop, or on the internet your graphics card will be hot and fans spinning as if you were gaming. Not necessary and bad for your gear. If you do it through Windows, it will apply the same logic to your current CPU. So yes, you will get some performance out of it, but at the expense of heat in your system, loud GPU, CPU and case fans (in regard to the higher levels of heat) and potentially shortened lifespan of parts. (Depending on how much heat is in the system, how long you're running it like that for, the level of cooling you have present, and the amount of stress that's put on everything as a result).
Valorant is an incredibly easy game to run. Uncapped, my system pulls over 1,000 fps, sometimes 1,100 fps and the game will run over 60 fps on pretty much anything, nowadays. If you only have a display that supports 60hz, 60 frames per second is literally all you need. You won't be able to see anything more because the display you're using won't support it. If you DO have a monitor with a higher refresh rate, chances are you have a system accompanying it that'll be able to run Valorant at the higher frames needed for it.
- Tip for anyone reading this, though: Valorant is much more CPU demanding than it is GPU. So if you have a decent GPU, but a lower class CPU; turn the graphics as high as they will go. (as long as you're still over 60 fps) Doing this takes more load in game from the Processor, and puts it onto the Graphics Card. Same thing applies in reverse. Good CPU, lower class GPU..? Turn the graphics on low. It will apply more pressure onto the Processor and relieve some of the stress from your Graphics Card. This logic also applies if you have a slightly CPU bottleneck. Stress the GPU out more so the CPU can breathe.
- Turning off your launch enabled programs and GeForce overlay doesn't do anything for Valorant's performance other than stopping any programs running in the background, especially if you open the overlay. Nvidia launches several processes that can be seen in the task bar in regard to that, but closing programs running in the background should be obvious if you don't have a system that can run Val well.
- Turning off Game Bar is a good tip, though. They need to make it removable because everyone hates it. Fuck that thing.
aint read that all

Wow thank you TenZ, almost all my settings were not optimized. That's probably why I'm Silver and not Radiant /s

Love you tenz
Tenz do you play with your arms on the table or do you have most of your arm on your chair arms
I think he puts his arm especially the right one (responsible for the mouse) on the table as you can see in his mouse cam vids.
@@taepro64 yeah because I had mine always on the chair arms, but I tried to put my arms on the table and got better control, but I still have a bit shaky aim and miss shots right next to their head sometimes
@@Congiii ya put your arm on the table, having it stationary and horizontal will make moving your mouse easier / smoother. In fact, get in the habit of having good posture and sit up, the more freely your arm can move the better.
And in terms of your shaky aim, I'd practice going into kovaaks, or aim labs if you can't buy kovaaks. Practice smooth, straight, and accurate aiming while using an aim trainer until you feel your aim is smooth. Then you can try optimizing speed for your aim
