I bet that Soprano Sax player was pretty stoked that the cameradude focused on the guitar the entire time he was soloing. 😀
I meannn it’s the same as the guitar part too lol but still, they should’ve went back and forth or got them in the same shot
Jajajajaja
This performance is the best I’ve seen..... and I’ve seen this performed a million times!!!! Great job!!!!
Kudos for the trumpet and trombone soloists with plungers and growls!
Love his conducting style! Very expressive!!
Hands down - the best rendition. Such energy and drive! Lenny would have shouted: "WOW!" at the end.
Nice to see a wind ensemble utilizing Eppelsheim's Contrabass Clarinet, outstanding performance!
Great performance. Especially the tempo, keeps it nice and crisp.
This should get more recognition, very entertaining and nice to listen to.
Played this last year in wind ensemble on sax, one of my favorites to play
Great performance. WELL DONE! I love the tempo. This really add so my to the interplay of the ensemble voices.
Brilliant! Love this composition & you executed it perfectly.
playing dis for all county, nice recording 💯💯 alto n bassoon solos kinda hard tbh
I played this back in high school in percussion and it was one of the most chaotic pieces

The controlled technique of Tom Lee went much farther than the current flamboyance of Jerry Junkin. This was in the middle 70's when technique of the baton was emphasized. Minimal motion, maximum communication. Ah, so much for the past.
What's wrong with a flamboyant conductor? You know, Bernstein was pretty flamboyant himself...
Simply put, the idea of the music is shown through his consucting. Nothing wrong in that. Quite frankly, Its much harder and efficient when conducting such a stylistic piece.
