    The amount of aesthetic or art based bullet journal videos versus functional/low maintenance drives me UP A WALL! Been seriously considering starting my own channel to help build the functional bujo/planner community so I’m so excited to find your videos!

    I love a functional bullet journal! So fun seeing what goes on in a planner’s mind… how one plans and pivots/changes layouts, etc. When I start watching a “plan with me” video and the person takes so much time just describing stickers and shops and washi etc, I feel like I want to cry. So glad I found you here!

      @@pinayknitter Hello hello! I always see you liking my IG posts...thank you! ❤️❤️ haha I am also annoyed at flip videos where it's like 8mins in the video and it's only just a litany of shop names of all the deco. 🤣 It's also why I don't watch PWM videos. 😅😅😅
      This is why I love the OG bujo: there's always room to experiment with layouts and sections without having to abandon the book. I'm happy that was your takeaway as it was also one of my intentions. Thank you so much!!

    After years of bullet journalling on and off (because as a perfectionist ADHD-er, I was never satisfied with how it looked), I'm finally starting a bujo today. Very excited to finally commit to it and try and adapt the bujo method to my own life. So even if you say there might be UA-camrs with better content, what matters is there are people who find YOUR content valuable and refreshing, and in the sea of artsy bujos with more art than practical value, there sure are 💜

    I love this!! A much needed video on bujo. There is a big difference between drawing a planner in a dotted notebook and using the bujo method. You highlighted this so well while allowing room for all opinions.

    I needed this video. I really struggled with bullet journaling in the past because I was also introduced to bujos by UA-cam, and the need to be "aesthetic" and creative on every page created so much contempt with planning and journaling. I've started planning how I'm going to plan (inception!) to make sure I'm more intentional with what works for me.

    • @thestationeryjunkie

      @@extraneousnaz @extraneousnaz that's great! I've always been an advocate of this method for its intentionnand purpose. When you know your "why", the aesthetics don't really matter. Planning how to approach planning is a great way to put your needs first. ❤️

    Unfortunately, what you've called the "Index" isn't actually the index, it's the Table of Contents - or Contents - for short. The Index goes at the back of a book with a list of topics / themes / key words and the relevant page numbers where that particular topic can be found withing the book. I think this was an error that was in the original bullet journal and sadly almost everyone seems to have copied it exactly.

    • @thestationeryjunkie
      @thestationeryjunkie  Місяць тому

      @@princelanguages8924 I'm merely following what's written in the official notebook. Most in the bujo community and even Ryder calls it an index. The TOC like in regular books already state the location of the content, but the index, to me, is a WIP list--you build it up over time as you write on the notebook. Anyway, it's what the community calls it. 😅 I didn't invent it. 😅😅😅
