You should keep doing this man. You are good with people.
agreed
Zachary was so articulate. I thought this was very well done, a very gentle approach. Everyone seemed very receptive, no one was argumentative. It was uplifting
Wow!!! This is taking compassionate communication to the next level!! Really proud of you Duncan !!! :) GO DUNCAN :)
I love seeing young kids already so receptive to it, I went vegan at 18 when I was living in my own and exploring where my food comes from.
I'd love to see more Duncan on the street type videos like this. You did a really great job.
When I became an ovo-lacto vegetarian in 1994, few people where I live in the upper Midwestern rust belt were aware of vegetarianism, and even vegetarians thought vegans were _superweird_ people that lived on ashrams in northern California and lived off of tinned wheat meat. But now, random people on the street know what veganism is and have thought it over. The common knowledge of veganism is much more prevalent than even 5 years ago. You're a natural at this, Duncan, because your demeanor is benevolent and your voice is kind; as a film maker, you know how to relate to folks. TFP!
Well said.
this was so pleasant
You have an aura about you that just makes people feel so comfortable! This was the least confronting street interview typa thing I've ever seen. You rock Duncan!
How did doing street activism make you feel? Uncomfortable? Empowered? I'd love to know!
Love the way you talk to ppl! You’re very calm and kind about it
Yes, serious talent!
This is great! I've been seeing a lot of Earthling Ed too hahaha and I think your approach were a lot smoother, in a way you could've taken more advantage. I think you can be more interactive, every time people say something nice, comment on it, it will certainly make them more interested in what you have to say. Go Earthling Duncan! I support it!
What really stuck out to me was the immediate "of course!" when Duncan asked "so you've broached the subject before?" I swear, everytime I see young people speaking, they always seem so kind, compassionate and thoughtful. ❤️
You are amazing. I love that you are doing this! ❤️❤️
Thank you for promoting challenge22! I volunteer for them, and helping people find their way to be vegan is really rewarding. 👍😊 I hope these lovely people sign up.
I wish there wasn't this misconception of a veggie lifestyle being expensive. My grocery bill between my partner and I is very little compared to when I used to eat meat milk and eggs! Vegan ism can be expensive with certain products like Mock meats, but it doesn't have to be!
Dana K honestly, it's the non-food products that can get pricey. Finding a pair of jeans without that leather thing on the back upper corner etc etc
Such a soft spoken gentle soul ♥️ love this
Interesting! Loving the “a lot of weed” lady.
I highly encourage more of this type of content. You are so calm and smooth and in return people reveal more. This is the path to truly reaching someone.
I honestly think this approach is by far the most effective I've seen.
Good for you Duncan! It's so clear that everyone has a conscious about this subject and it just takes one person to spark the idea. I really hope some of these people connect with you again to tell you they did it!
I recently went on a field school to the Amazon rainforest, and I felt very alone as a vegan for the first time ever. In the comfort of my own city (Vancouver, BC) and social media presence I have the perception that veganism is approachable and attainable. While I was away in South American, with little food options and everyone around me eating animals I had the realization that I have the opportunity to educate people. Education is power, and we were standing in the ecosystem that is getting dystroyed for mass cattle farming - and no body even knew.
For my final project, I am hosting an interactive Colombian inspired vegan dinner party to really spark the idea in people's heads about the connect to our food, our plant and the animals. I definitely want to take your approach by asking questions not attacking people with facts about veganism!
Very cool idea. Good luck!
I really appreciate how you teach us good ways to talk to others about veganism...that has been the hardest part about the whole things. People are so emotionally attached to their meat and dairy products that they become argumentative so quickly...keep up the good work!
You did a great job
I love this channel so much
A lot of times, when I think of activism, I think about people will bullhorns and slaughterhouse videos. That approach has some merit, but I prefer how you have personal conversations and identify with people's struggles. It shows compassion for people as well as non-human animals. Good job, Duncan.
Ed doesn’t feel like anyone is stealing his approach, if anything he wants all vegans to become activists. So happy that you did this and I hope to see more!
It's great to see you out on the streets doing effective, compassionate activism like this! It takes a lot of courage.
Loved this! Keep doing more like this. (If you want) didn’t mean to order you around. Loved hearing from ‘the people’ what they actually think instead of us just preaching at them and throwing around statistics (which I can never remember anyway). I think just asking people what the think and giving them some of your experiences goes a loooonnnnggg way. Good job, Duncan! 👏👏👏👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️
More of this would be cool you did great!
Good for you Duncan, i loved the way you approached the topics, i loved watching this. Thank you for doing this, and having this channel
That was so brave and I think that you got across to them. I find it so hard to not get emotional antd to just stick to the facts when I talk to people. I wanna start doing some outreach and this is encouraging. Keep up the good work.
This was so good and real, excellent approach. People really felt comfortable opening up to you, thank you for doing this work for the animals ❤️
haha "i don't like the taste of eggs", naww, dude, you did so good, but i couldn't help but chuckle at that. keep it up, you're, dare i say, inspirational.
The calmness you bring in these confersations is so inspiring 😊
I love this video! I think little conversations like this spark change. I love when complete strangers can find middle ground, hear each other out and take a bit from one another!
This was really cool! I shared the vegan sour cream video with my not vegan partner because I know that I have crashed and burned in that same way. I’m trying to be more tactful and empathetic when the subject comes up now and to see how much better you’re getting at it is inspiring me to keep going! Thanks for sharing!
Bian Dancy Im curious what sour cream video? Lol I'm also not good at talking about veganism. My bf and i cant talk about it or it ends in a fight lol
"why do you think is a good thing to do"... nice questions.... allowing them to talk
I loved your question 'have you ever had an experience where you stopped eating something and your taste buds changed?' You basically moved them from the pre-contemplative to contemplative stage of behavioural change by listening to them, repeating back what they said so that they feel understood and then you hit them with that amazing question! Loved this video and the fact that you talk people beautifully about veganism :-) xx
I love these types of conversations. If ti feels organic for you to film these types of interactions again, please do. I will definitely tune in.
I love to watch you change your thoughts on non- vegans! You used be be a little hard on them, but now you show compassion and kindness! That will change many hearts and minds! Keep it up!
This shows that you can be nice to people and affect change!
Love this video! Surprised by how positive the interviewees were about veganism.. even though they gave all the common excuses. Well done on the interviewing Duncan, practice makes perfect!
This was so great to watch! It was amazing how receptive everyone was to what you had to say. I think your approach and the questions you asked were just enough to make people reflect, but not feel judged or threatened. Keep it up!
I love your style! The videos on this channel always manage to bring a smile to my face even if im having a rough day. There are alot of street interview style videos out there but you've still managed to make this your own. This feels more organic somehow. And tbh, sometimes i detect a hint of passive aggressiveness in some of the others.
Thanks! :)
I love that by listening we can learn so much. They basically said everything we know to be true for us, but on their own terms. That's the difference. It makes such a difference when it's your own power and agency to make a change. Thanks Duncan!
Aaaa I love this! Ed is actually how I got into veganism and made the switch myself. You did great keeping the conversations calm and open Duncan 💚
I LOVE this video so much! I think we all fantasize about doing these street interviews after watching other activists do it, and I think you did GREAT!
You are so good with people. I love that you are making them think without being pushy at all.
Loved this and the way you put your thoughts across without pressurising anyone.. i am sat here eating peanut butter& bananas on toast instead of the usual butter as i watched it.. it's a Sign .. as you say its the CHEESE .. i have given everything else up.. Thanks for the inspiration as always :-)
Thank you for this!
Amazing, Duncan! You have such a kind and magnetic way about you. I think you could convert a lot of people! 10/10 keep doing this
Aw this was so great!
Way to go Duncan! I think you asked some awesome questions! I think you made at least one vegan that day. I’ve been working on getting better at these conversations myself because of earthling ed
Loved this!
This is great! Would you post the entire discussion you had with any of your interviewees? The thoughts/experiences of Christian, Tremane & Jay would be amazing to see in full.
We do have them on our Patreon - just support us there and you will have access - www.patreon.com/datingavegan

LOVED this episode, you did really well! :)
You did great!!! Such nice people you spoke to! :D
Awesome approach! :-) loved this.
This is so great!. love the idea, great way to educate.
i am so inspired by people like those younger kids who are interested in veganism at a young age. i wish i had made the switch earlier!
One of your best videos.
Good interviews! Enjoyed on the street talks.
well done Duncan, so brave!! would love to see more
This was AWESOME! You should stop in other cities and do this!
Great job, Duncan!
Great job Duncan! Would love to see more videos like this. 😊
Now this is a GREAT video! Loved the thoughtful discussion. To bad we don't see more videos like this!!
YESS!!! This was so great to watch!! So inspiring and you're approach is 👌🏻 well done. Thoroughly enjoyed and hoping for more!!
Great job Duncan! I feel like to had a positive impact in those people! keep it up!
So much admiration for you Duncan, this was so well done!
What a great video! Loved it. I hope you do this more often. You approached these people with so much love. 💜 💕
I really enjoyed watching this. I think you got through to some of these people and they will begin there own research into it! Please make more of these
Good job! Love to see the younger ones really interested in trying it out.
I think you did a really good job of asking questions and engaging them along their line of thought! I really enjoyed watching this.
Thank you for getting out there. The world is totally changing!!
You did good! My appreciation for you have grown.
Awhh I loved all of them esp tremane!! I was kind of surprised by how positive all their feedback was
What a wonderful video. I wish you nothing but the most success. :)
LOVE THIS! Keep it up! You communicate so well with others. Loved your approach!❤️❤️❤️
Well done! You are encouraging us to reach out and help others change too!
Great job! I love your friendly approach, which doesn't put people on the defensive. I love how you let them know about the challenge as well after, easy way for them to take action if they are interested.
Great work Duncan. I definitely like your approach, one I need to adopt for myself. Thanks for the inspiration!
I love this video, I think this will inspire a lot of people to make changes to their lifestyle! AWESOME
I love this so much! Wonder what kind of response you would get in my Brooklyn neighborhood.
Ducan, this was amazing! Thank you so much for all the work you and Liz do on this channel - it genuinely helps to give me greater strength, hope and joy in my vegan life.
Loved this video! What is crazy to me is how each individual knew it was wrong in some way consuming animal products yet lacked the... self control? Self awareness? Selflessness? Humans are insane and it is beyond my comprehension how we always find justification in our own ways... myself included. I loved the approach and I hope that you were able to spark the idea in at least one of them if not all ❤️
Great job, D! This was very uplifting. Excellent approach. Very “human”
Well done, this was awesome! Most videos like these make me cringe but this was done so well. You were so understanding and seems like you got lucky with some open minded people. I also want to get better at talking to people about this stuff because my BF says i get defensive lol i learned some things today. Thanks!
I love that you meet people with love and understanding. It’s so refreshing to see ❤️ Keep it up !
Love Earthling Ed seems so zen
Duncan, great job being very kind and listening while offering them opportunities to think about a subject that is truly a cognitive dissonance for most people who have a compassionate soul. I'm sure that many you spoke with may visit your UA-cam channel and continue in thought and hopefully action to make a decision towards compassion.
❤️❤️❤️ Thank you!
Well done, Duncan. You are so down to earth and relatable, I think this makes you a great advocate for the animals. I hope you continue to do this. Maybe I’ll give it a try as well. Thanks!
Awesome job! I hope you keep doing this! We need more activism in the US!
You absolutely nailed this!! I really hope you do more public speaking
I love this!
Nailed it! You'll find your own style and you Will change lives. I can't wait to see your growth. You have what it takes and you'll be a master in no time.👊✌
