I don't think I have seen this one. It just makes me want to cry. Dolly is the only the only one still here. It doesn't look like she hasn't changed much. RIP Bert Reynolds, Jim Neighbors,
Charles Durning, and Dom DeLuise. Such talent today's actors and actresses could learn a lot from this group of the best ever. I hate that I missed meeting Burt, just a few months after he was here doing met and greets from.
Beautiful tribute..thank you 😇
Dom DeLuise is especially missed - that man was a comedic genius ❤
What about Jerry Reed? Is he still with us?
I love that the commercials were kept in. Really makes you feel like you're back in 82
Truly enjoy bring back memories of 1982 film movie and soundtrack and commercials I remember some them. This film movie ticket I won on radio station. I was 18 yr. old at time thanks my friends took me see theater. On way in Mason City Iowa. Truly enjoy back then still do today. Like say Thank you to Burt Reynolds and Dolly Pardon and Jerry Reed and Mel Tills and and many others. Truly enjoy it 100%. Two thumbs up. Thank you.
Wow! My mom and I watched this on TV back when it aired. This brings back memories galore! Thank you for sharing. It's great to see this again after 32 years.
d
totally agree. watched it when i was 9. many memories.
I met Jim Neghbors and he was just a delightful person.
I had a lot of fun watching this, I felt like I jumped right into the 80s!
Dolly's so pretty and Burt's so handsome - those two really shoulda married and had a beautiful baby together! But this is real life - and there isn't a house in the world big enough for those 2 egos to share. Or a mirror big enough! Two STARS from the days when there were stars!
Dolly was married & truth be told, they became great friends & were more like brother & sister off screen, not a romantic couple. But they played their parts VERY well, didn't they! Dolly is the only one left...so sad.
The breasts of a goddess deserve the penee of a god.
This is a wonderful video. My family and I were there at the parade. Never saw the tv footage til now.
Brings back memories.
Awww, that's awesome!
Very cool!
My parents were extras in the Capitol scenes I met Burt Reynolds and Charles Durning
Commercials was a great plus. Thanks
Dolly played Miss Mona in the film verison and her sister Stella played Mona on the Broadway production.
What a funny and entertaining show!...My favorite part is seeing Burt,my teen idol, in that towel..meow!!what a hunk!!..I have to wonder if that towel ever came loose while doing that part?..and Dolly..she's such a sweetheart, with that child like giggle she has!!.I believe they would've made a great couple if she wasn't already married..and Jerry Reed and Jim Nabors,Mel Tillis...I sure do miss Jerry and Burt tho!!They all passed away too soon.
Dolly was absolutely gorgeous.
She was. And now she looks like a piece of plastic.
bullshit, she still looks fantastic....
And still IS!
And Burt wasn't too bad himself... Whew! He was gorgeous! ❤
I've always loved this movie!!
Great to see this again. I loved the movie. It's like a nude 'Oklahoma!'
that was so good, nice to see this again, its been years since I have seen this, dolly is just so bubbly and so cute, I just love her, she definetly dressed different, but she still shined no matter what, love you dolly, very good movie,
I was lucky enough to play Shy in the stage show. Loved it. There are a few songs that the film version missed out on that I would have loved to have been included. Good ol girl is one of them and I wish that shy had a song of her own.
Wow! Feels like im 13 years old again. Like to watch Bandit after the show. Thnks for uploading. Greetings from Switzerland.
7:24
Jerry Reed, Burt Reynolds castmate from Smokey and the Bandit "Snowman"
Eastbown and down, guys! The Bandit go wild and bring the beer in Georgia !
"What's she wearing now? Come back. Hey, you got peanut butter or somethin' in your ears? Tell what that girl's got on? Her mind! HA HA HAAA!!! 10-4!"
I was a Sophomore in High School when this aired.
Hey - what a lineup !!! Thanks for sharing this
Dolly played the best Madam. What a sweet woman she just "is"!
Oh my God - I remember this! I remember Burt and Dolly kissing in the link and hiding their faces with the hat! Wow.
Wow i remember watching this on TV back in "82" when i was 15 alas i wasn't allowed to see the movie really didn't think i be comfortable anyways. We all went see E.T and Poltergeist instead. Was a couple years later when it was on HBO that i saw it.
Dolly had a serious crush on Burt. I can see her 🩷heart jump when she was around him. The commercials are to live for.
Thanks for posting this, I love this movie!
I saw the stage production here with Raquel Welch as Mona man she was good in the role.
Thanks for uploading it.
Good old days
Go old Country time , Hell far🥰❤️😀Jerry Reed love him RIP
Back when America got along!
Apologies for the warbly sound. That's what we get when studios don't bother to release this kinda stuff.
At least it’s here…no complaints
If we only had people like this in Washington and Austin. Maybe there wouldn’t be so much hatred out there.
Wish I could do that with a hat! How fun that part was😂
Durning performed the song on Parton's variety show in 1988. Not sure if it was movie magic, he lost the talent, or if he'd just gotten too fat, but he had to use his hand to achieve the hat effect.
Dolly Parton (Miss Mona), Burt Reynolds (Ed Earl) and Jim Nabors(Deputy Fred), they are really the stars.
Dolly do success with songs, Burt is the star with Smokey and the Bandit, The Longest Yard and Delivreance and Jim... "Surprise, surprise, surprise!!!" Colin Higgins cast Gomer Pyle!
Jerry Reed & Burt Reynolds worked together in the 1970's movie "Gator".
Where time starts time ends...
21:03 Mel Tillis, he was with Burt Reynolds in The Cannonball Run!
And you've got to love his great buddy Jerry Reed! He was SO fantastic! They ALL were!
Jerry Reed brought me here..i have the main movie but not this..thankyou
Dolly out living everyone.
*Jerry sang this in the early 1980's. Men and Fathers are still getting the shaft from women in 2023.*
i know u mean well but that idea just drives a bigger divide between men and women. men and women are both able to be bad people and painting women as the sole problem is childish and selfish.
Jimmie Fortune looks scared as hell in this video. He was probably in the first few months of his tenure, and not yet knowing he'd become a permanent member. I saw them right about this time.
mucho thanks for posting this...
I think Burt Reynolds was hanging around somewhere with Dinah Shore
Isn’t that one guy the same as Pappy Daniel in Brother Where Art Thou?
Just to think Stevie Ray Vaughan was somewhere roamin through there somewhere
I wont moi MTV!
Does anyone know who the guy sitting next to Dolly at the beginning of the video is around 2/3 minutes?
+M Huey Are you talking about Jim Nabors? aka Gomer Pyle?
Deputy Fred
I know thar voice. It's the one and only Charlie O'Donnell. The Wheeeeel Of Fortune announcer.
I think that's Charlie O'Donnell announcing.
it is Charlie O´Donnel from Wheeeeel Of Fortune
Pourquoi ils sont plus capable de faire des bons films aujourd'hui?
Brought you by Listerine not Geritol
Nah, Geritol brought us the George Burns specials.
