those were the good old evenings spent watching Scooby doo where are you and Droopy the master detective before going to bed. I think I'll watch some tonight on the net to feel young again :)
+nvm0 You sure are right...when i was young i watched Scooby aand Droopy master every evening before 10pm :) These where the good old times. These historycally brilliant shows sure make us feel young :)
Same I don't know about other countries but in my country Cartoon Network and Boomerang started at around 6 AM and lasted until 9 PM, after that TLC would start showing black and white movies. Man so many good cartoons. Tom and Jerry Kids, Baby Looney Tunes,(as well as the normal ones) Jetsons, Flintstones, Ed, Edd and Eddie, Johnny Bravo, Dexter, Droopy and so many others were real cartoons So glad I grew up watching those and not these clickbait showoff UA-camrs
He’s here, he’s there, he’s everywhere And when you need him, he’ll be around Droopy, the master detective hound You can run, but you can’t hide ‘Cause he’ll be right there at your side Climb the mountain, cross the sea Droopy is keeping you company You can holler, you can even hammer But if you break the rules, they’ll put you in the slammer He’s got the trouble if you break the law Droopy and Dripple are at the door He’s here, he’s there, he’s everywhere And when you need him, he’ll be around Droopy, the master detective hound! Droopy, the master detective hound. (And I’m in the show too, ya know! Screwball Squirrel!)
I remember watching Droopy, Master Detective as it was a spinoff from Tom and Jerry Kids and I do this cartoon very much I just only wished the whole Series is finally on complete DVD so I can enjoy watching the episodes again.
Man, the guy with the deep voice... That's as slick as grease and as cool as voices get. My voice is fairly deep, but if I could pull off that voice, I'd be chased by more hot women than Droopy ever was XD
As far I know, WB should put this show on Boomerang USA "and" make a complete series DVD of this show, complete with the Screwball Squirrel segments. Speaking of which, I actually love Screwball Squirrel from this show. Charlie Adler does wonder voicing that nutty critter.
Droopy, Master Detective. A Hanna-Barbera Cartoon With Tex Avery-Inspired Humour. And yet two names associated with incidental voices at H-B were not here: Don Messick and John Stephenson, though both were still alive the year this was produced (Messick died four years later).
@@leahrowden3939 Don Messick also quit smoking by the time he did _Scooby-Doo in Arabian Nights_ (the last time he did Scooby), and cited that as the reason he could no longer effectively do such raspy voices for dog-related cartoon roles. At a charity event he attended while in London, he recited some of his famous voiceovers... except for Scooby.
@bajoe4 Actually that is kinda surprising. Cause usually when Droopy is on the case the criminals they usually lock themselves up and throw away the key ;)
2011's Thundercats, the Tron Legacy animated series, the Green Lantern animated series, Young Justice (even though at least that one's being continued now)... honestly there are lots of more recent shows that were cancelled when they didn't need to. And worse still, nowadays it's less common to have actual "episodic" episodes, because kids can actually look for the previous episodes online, whereas in the 80s and 90s, if you missed an episode, you missed it period, so the episodes were closed within themselves. This means that these new shows were not only cancelled, but cancelled on CLIFFHANGERS. So yeah, I'd say it wasn't that bad, back then, when it happened.

Hanna-Barbera Should've Added Bugs Bunny on The Show. Sadly, Hanna-Barbera Would Have To Ask Warner Bros. to Use The Character. After All, Tex Avery Worked at WB Cartoons ! Warner Bros. Would've Loaned Out Bugs and Daffy to HB for The 1990's Droopy Cartoon.
On the internet it said that the reason why Screwy was killed off in his last cartoon was because Tex Avery grew to openly dislike the character. According to animator Mark Kausler, he used to send Avery letters about his rendition of Screwy. He later learns that Avery has thrown away anything related to the character. I think droopy is perfect for this. Because he is everywhere and he there when you need him

It could've gone on longer if they utilized heavy use of the Hanna-Barbera sound fx library and more slapstick violence.
