Let see in '99 I was 17/18 round there I do not remember this show at all cause by then I was old enough to go as I pleased+ The cartoon network was airing the power puff girls and I got hooked to all these dope CN shows. Ed, Edd, n Eddy was my jam. Cow and Chicken, etc.. But I found this show a few months back and I really wish I has caught it in the 90s. It gives me The Amazing Spider-Man vibes. Yo Ed, Edd n Eddy has a dope theme song!

It still is. What use is a queen or a king in the modern world? Especially in Britain. Their titles of royalty are nothing more than superficial designations. Especially since they give out titles of "Sir" and "Dame" to silly whorish figures like actresses (e.g. Helen Mirren).

Manga is so much fun, and thanks to the OST, it's also fun to listen to.
    It's warm
I fell in love with it from the first page.
Up until now, Sherlock Holmes has been a movie, drama, book, and comic book is so much fun.
Holmes full of personality with a new feeling.

Sherlock Hums was the funniest ♥
The concept of the 22nd century, overflowing with personality
A masterpiece with a combination of fun and thriller elements.
Manga that you want to keep and take out
The story, directing, umak, etc. were good overall, and the best part was the witty main characters with unique characters.
I'm really tired of the match-up performance.

There is a part of this episode that does not make sense until you watch Sussex Vampire Lot. You will notice that in this one there is a reference made to "Lord Nelson's hat" which does not make much sense as we did no see Lestrade nearly injure any British nobility. The explanation is given by Wiggins in Sussex Vampire when he mentions that it is cold enough to "freeze the nose off Lord Nelson's statue". Then it all makes sense; Lestrade's collision with the tall monument during the first scene is what Greyson is referring to. She probably at least chipped the carving.

One thing for sure I would love to see something like this but Sherlock Holmes in the 21st century and during this century he would be able to time travel and solve some of the unsolved cases that still remain unsolved like The Death of Edgar Allan Poe, Jack the Ripper, H H Holmes, The Bermuda Triangle and 3 Cases that range from the years 1703-1590 and the 1480s and these 3 cases are the Man in the iron mask, The disappearance of the Roanoke colony and the Princes in the tower But out of these cases I would want Sherlock Holmes to solve H H Holmes and the Jack the Ripper first and for those of you who are wondering who this H H Holmes person is I can tell you that he is not related to Sherlock Holmes but he is instead the opposite of Sherlock Holmes because H H Holmes aka Herman Webster Mudgett was a Con artist and the first modern serial killer to strike the USA and I would want Holmes to solve these two cases first because there is a possibility that Mudgett and Jack the Ripper are the same person and I would want Holmes to bring H H Holmes to trial for being sentenced the most severe capital punishment that the governments of the USA and Britain can come up with and I would want that to happen to H H Holmes because he did something that would be used later but in bigger numbers and this thing that H H Holmes used was the Gas Chambers and even worse he dissected his victims bodies and sold their bones and organs on the black market.

I was always expecting Holmes to turn to Watson at some point in this series and say something like
"Watson, Something rather bizarre is occurring here. Do you not recall chronicling a case similar to this in those lurid accounts that you published in The Strand back in the day? In fact I would venture to say that all of these "cases" are taken from your accounts. Are they not "Watson" ?"
At which point Holmes is able to infer that his mind is trapped in some sort of virtual reality program constructed from his memories and that the robotic "Watson" and this female "Lestrade" are virtual constructs that were made to keep him distracted by keeping him occupied.
Although that scenario does sound like a fan pastiche from 'fanfictiondotnet'.

The concept for Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century was created by Sandy Ross, who came with the idea while skiing in Aspen, Colorado in 1996. DiC Entertainment, L.P. and Scottish Television had previously worked together and began in 1990 when the two companies successfully partnered for the animated Captain Zed and the Zee Zone in 1991, and continued a second series, Hurricanes, from 1993 to 1997.
The companies had such good experiences from both creative and business points of view that they were looking for a new vehicle to work together. The show was developed under the working title Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century: The Future Files.
    January 1996
Robby London, senior vice president, creative affairs for DiC Entertainment, and his Scottish Television counterpart, Sandy Ross, deputy chief executive, go skiing at Telluride or Aspen, Colorado, after NATPE. While aboard a ski lift, Ross proposed the concept of an animated Sherlock Holmes series set in the future. Both believe that this a great idea. Not only d'es it appeal to both the American and U.K. markets, but the combination of the Sherlock Holmes recognition factor and the mystery/sci-fi aspect of the series, says Robby London, makes the program an entirely new genre of animation.
    May 1996
Ross travels to Los Angeles, California and meets with the DiC creative team. The two parties talk through the show idea and how it will develop. One of the problems resolved is the series title. Ross had originally intended the show to be Sherlock Holmes in the 21st Century. Realizing that the series would most likely debut in 1998, meaning the 21st century would be just 2 years away, they change it to the more futuristic 22nd century.
    Summer 1996
The series bible, design materials and graphics are developed and completed in late August. As with the other 2 series they had co-produced, the companies' working relationship proves a happy experience.
'Creatively, after having worked with Sandy for the few years that I have, we are so much in sync that it's amazing,' London says. There haven't been many creative loggerheads. Sandy speaks on behalf of Scottish and I speak on behalf of DiC, and we usually seem to be speaking with one voice.'
Minor problems such as language, where a word or concept might carry a different conniotation in another culture, are resolved by finding alternative ways to structure scenes, action and dialogue.
    October 1996
Armed with their design materials DiC and Scottish Television come to MIPCOM ready to present the series for sale for the first time. The program will debut in September 1998.
    Evaluating the Partnership
'You always start off in co-production with this dread in your stomach of what compromises you're going to have to make and how much trouble that's going to be,' says London. 'It hasn't been that way at all.'
Ross agrees that sharing a common creative vision makes for a much more harmonious relationship. 'It's a bizarre thing to say, but I cannot think of any standoffs or arguments or disaggreements,' says Ross. 'That's because I think we were all facing in the same direction. We're very agreed on what we were trying to do.'
London adds jokingly, 'Then again, I can only understand about half of what you say, Sandy.'
The show was delayed until 1999. Visually, the show is a blend of traditional 2-D and 3-D CGI animation.
I found that the pilot episode of Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century was to be a spin-off of Bravestarr before the demise of Filmation and when DiC took over, they gave Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century a complete overhaul by changing several characters, adding new characters never seen in the Filmation version and eliminated other characters, including the two English orphans and their pet Shar Pei dog from the original series pilot. A 2-part episode of Filmation's Bravestarr, that aired on September 1987 that has a similar idea in it. It was retitled Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century. It aired on Fox Kids and in syndication from September 1999 to July 2001 for 26 episodes and 2 seasons.

In 1971, Gene Wolfe wrote an amusing Holmes pastiche, 'Slaves of Silver', in which, in the future, a consulting detec..., sorry, consulting engineer named March B. Street gets a new roommate, a Westinghouse model robot physician (Doctor Westing). I wonder if the creators of the show had some memory of this.

Man, if this wasn't a kid's show, this would've been so much darker. Sherlock being stuck in another century, where everyone he ever knew and loved is long dead and no one can understand him... yeah, he should probably care more.
I mean, imagine if they gave showing him the 20th century more focus. That was the 1900s- AKA, WWI, WWII, the Great Depression, etc. I actually thought of this and looked it up- as it turns out, most of Baker Street was destroyed during the Blitz. I dunno if that included 221B, but historically, the building he's in would probably be a remake of the original, not the original itself.
    So, uh. Sleep well tonight.

This has got to be one of the most stupid theme songs I have ever heard, although I did think it was funny that they had him preserved in honey. The real Sherlock Holmes became a beekeeper when he retired, so I guess that tied in semi-well.
