I like everything about this Chevelle except the tubs. Mini tubbed or stock for me. I had a ‘69 SS in my youth. Sounded like this. I miss it.
despite a few flaws, this thing is just plain cool. seems like its very easy to drive and is dependable as well; I"m sure gas mileage is not good but is still fun to drive.

You'd have to actually put slicks on this one to get it to hook. Street tires that size usually provide way less traction than you'd think for their width.

" Pro street" you take a whipped old race car, tubbed, no interior, re-do-it, kind of, and call it "pro-street" I think Buzz Luremann did a song about "fishing the past out of the garbage, cleaning off the yuk, and selling it for more than it's worth". Sounds like pro-street, spoke sideways.
Why have 396 though when you can have 454 instead
